Interfaith Week is coming soon!

From 8-15 November, people across the UK will come together to celebrate the diversity of faiths and beliefs in our communities, build understanding and strengthen connections.

We are celebrating Interfaith Week by inviting people from all faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds to join us for a community litter pick.

Saturday 7th November at French Weir Park, Taunton.
Litter pick: 1 pm - 3 pm
Refreshments at the COACH Centre: 3 pm - 4 pm

Come along, help care for our local environment and meet others in a friendly and welcoming setting.

Please bring a litter picker if you have one.

That's why organisations across the Somerset Fuel Poverty & Energy Efficiency Forum are working together to help people access trusted advice, practical support and financial assistance.

Great conversations at the Somerset Association of Local Councils Annual Conference last week.

With around 200 people attending, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with parish councillors, local stakeholders and partners from across Somerset.

We were delighted to receive requests for nine Parish Profiles. A Parish Profile brings together local data and insight to help communities build a clearer picture of housing need in their area, supporting informed conversations about future affordable housing opportunities.

Our weekly Talking cafe in Dulverton has moved!

Hosted by Thrive's Dulverton Village Agent, Nikki Bonner, the Talking Cafe now runs every Wednesday, 10.30am - 12.30pm, at the newly refurbished Moorland Foodbank on Kemps Way - behind Exmoor House.

We are a charity that supports people in Somerset who are facing worrying or tough times. Talking Cafes provide a space to seek help with issues relating to health, finances, housing or feelings of loneliness or isolation. They also provide somewhere to connect with others in the community.

We'd love to welcome more people, so if you live in or around Dulverton, why not pop along, the kettle is always on!

Throughout autumn, communities across Somerset and beyond mark Harvest Festival, a time to give thanks for the gathering of crops and the work of farming communities.

Rooted in Christian tradition, Harvest celebrates gratitude for food, community, and God's provision. Across the county, churches, schools, and local groups come together through services, food collections, and charitable giving to support those in need.

🌾 Harvest also highlights values that resonate across faiths and beliefs: gratitude, generosity, and care for the natural world.
