Taunton Art Group (TAG) Taunton Art Group is all about our members. As a group we continue to grow and develop, enthusing our members with exciting speakers, workshops and a friendly, artistic environment in which to develop their talent. The Taunton Art Group (TAG) is open to everyone whether you are new to art or an established artist. We welcome all abilities.

Founded in 1996, Taunton Art Group (TAG) holds monthly indoor meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month from September to May/June, where experienced/professional artists demonstrate their techniques and talk about their art. We cover a wide range of visual mediums including watercolour, oil, pastel, acrylic & mixed media.

Monthly meetings are free to members, and visitors are welcome for a

£5 fee, payable on the door of the Comeytrowe Community Centre, Pitts Close, Galmington, Taunton, TA1 4TY. New members are always welcome, £30 annual fee, or £10 for 18 and under. We also run Saturday workshops; workshops can be booked & need to paid for in advance with the workshop organisers (£25 members, £35 non members) and run from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Comeytrowe Community Hall. Our next demonstration is on Wednesday 29 April when we're delighted to welcome professional print maker Lisa Takahashi to our group. Lisa will be demonstrating the use of woodcut to create expressive pictures- it's going to be a fabulous evening! We meet at the Comeytrowe Community Hall Pitts Close Taunton and doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Visitors are welcome to attend for a minimal fee of £5 - members are free. Here's a taster of items for sale at our Grand Art Sale, this Wednesday 25th March. We're opening the doors at 7pm ready for you to find some bargains, before we start our demonstration evening with artist Paul Weaver at 7.30pm. Thankyou to everyone who joined us on Wednesday evening to celebrate 30 years of Taunton Art Group. The fabulous James Tatum gave an energetic demonstration of a vista across the Quantocks. This was followed by our social evening showcasing artworks from our members, a talk about the history of TAG and a raffle. Our thanks to James for kindly donating his painting to the raffle. Thanks also goes to our hardworking Committee who organised the evening.
