SI Taunton is a member of Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI), an organisation committed to helping women and children everywhere. Since 2013 SIGBI has Category 2 Status with the UN Economic and Social Council. As well as contributing to international projects, members of SI Taunton are active in the local community, both individually and collectively as a Club. The SI Taun

ton Swimathon has raised over half a million pounds for charities in its 25 year history. The latest project in Somerset organised by the Club is a STEM initiative for school girls called Skirting Science, started in 2009 by SI Weston-super-Mare.
