Our Ozan Kaymak Memorial Award winner for 2026 is Casey Cole! Casey joined us as a young leader when he started S1 and now in S3 has become a key part of all the children’s programmes with a particular talent for running games. Casey is a clear role model for the younger children with them showing clear delight when he is there and very quickly questioning why he is absent! A very well deserved winner for 2026

We are delighted to share with everyone that our Volunteer of the Year 2026 is Louisa! Louisa Burnett Born Murray has been a volunteer with us at the ymca for a while now and has increasing become a central part of our youth drop in sessions. We would like to take this time to say thank you to her for everything she has given the YMCA and we look forward to many more years working together!

At our recent AGM we had the pleasure of presenting several of our young leaders with their Saltire Awards. All of these are incredible achievements but we would like to take an extra moment to recognise both Evie and Kornelia who both received their 500 hour awards. Well done to you both and to all the young people who received awards. A massive thank you also to Lord Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty Joanie Whiteford for joining us and taking time to present these.
