💙A huge thank you for this wonderful random act of kindness💙

We were delighted to receive these generous donations of biscuits for our clients and staff here at Headway Swindon. Small gestures like this can brighten someone's day and remind us how much kindness exists within our community.

We were especially touched to learn that this act of kindness was carried out in loving memory of Toya Jefferies. What a beautiful way to honour a loved one's memory by bringing smiles to others.

Our clients are certainly enjoying these tasty treats, and we are incredibly grateful to have been thought of.

Thank you for your generosity and kindness. It is very much appreciated by everyone at Headway Swindon. 💙

It’s Volunteers’ Week! 💙

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who support Headway Swindon and make a real difference to the clients and families we support.

From giving their time and skills to offering kindness and encouragement, our volunteers are at the heart of what we do — and we simply couldn’t do it without them.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing a few reflections about why they volunteer, what they enjoy, and what it means to them personally.

We’re looking forward to attending a Stroke Awareness event at Better, Link Centre - Swindon on Thursday 21st May.

Look out for the Headway Swindon stand, where we'll be sharing information about how we support stroke survivors through rehabilitation.

Events like these are so important in helping people recognise the importance of early action and ongoing support for those affected by stroke.

Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Living with a brain injury can impact emotional wellbeing as well as physical health, including mood, anxiety, confidence, isolation, memory and fatigue.

At Headway, we understand how important it is to support mental health and emotional wellbeing alongside rehabilitation and recovery. A friendly conversation, peer support, routine, and feeling connected can really make a difference.

It’s okay to ask for help and take things one step at a time.
