We loved playing Easter Bunny today delivering more than 300 eggs 🥹🤯

Dropping in to Children’s A&E, Urgent Care, Maternity, NICU, Children’s Ward and PAU.

Huge thanks the parents who got involved in donating, to GWaste, Iceland, XPO, ESRC Residents of Covingham, Faith & her amazing mums at the local toddler group.

We don’t often post on social media (mainly because I don’t have time 🥴)

But I’m still very much active behind the scenes. This week we bought the parent pantry a new table, isn’t it lovely!

Making it feel a little less clinical and more of a break when parents need it most 💜

We would like to say a huge thank you to Beth, who today supported our Easter request and kindly donated 24 Easter eggs to the neonatal unit 🥹💜

Beth previously spent time on the unit with her little girl, Ottilie, and wanted to give back by supporting future parents and families on the ward.

We are incredibly grateful for Beth’s kindness and generosity. Thank you so much for thinking of our families and helping bring a little Easter joy to the unit ☺️🐣

Well it’s been a minute since we’ve done a shop!

Today we’ve not only completed a parent pantry shop for the neonatal unit, but also for the children’s ward.

We received a request asking if we could help support them, and thanks to our lovely contact at Brighter Futures we were able to get in touch with the ward. We’re so pleased that we could provide some snacks for families there too 🥹

We’ll be heading up tomorrow to deliver everything. It’s been a little while since the last pantry shop, so we’re sure it will be very welcomed! 💜

🐣💜 EASTER EGG COLLECTION FOR NICU FAMILIES 💜🐣

This Easter we are collecting small boxed Easter eggs for families who will be spending Easter in GWH’s Neonatal Unit.

Being in NICU over special occasions can be incredibly tough, and we’d love to bring a small gesture of kindness to around 30 families.

If we receive any additional eggs, they will be donated to Paediatric A&E 💛

Tesco In partnership with Pampers have released free premature baby grows designed specifically for babies weighing 3 and 4lbs.

Starting this week, new parents and carers can collect a complimentary three-pack of the specially designed sleepsuits, created in collaboration with Pampers, from any Tesco Pharmacy during opening hours. With more than 350 participating locations nationwide 👏🏼

Congratulations to our Neonatal Unit team for achieving the BLISS Bronze Award. ⭐

This accreditation demonstrates the teams commitment to family integrated care, and their work to initiate real change which is helping parents to be more involved in their babies care as well as tackling health inequalities in neonatal care.

This is fantastic recognition for a team who strive to put their babies and families at the centre of their care.💙

🎄 From our families to yours, THANK YOU 🎄

One of the amazing neonatal nurses popped by and grabbed 20 bags filled with baby goodies and treats for parents. A hamper filled with self care love for staff and a huge bag of gifts for siblings who maybe on the ward visiting this Christmas. Hampers were also delivered to Hazel & A&E and very well received.

You guys are AMAZING! As always, I forgot to get photos. But the unit will be sharing photos on Christmas Day, so we will of course post them when we can 💜

Thank you for helping us make sure parents know we are thinking of them for the 4th year running 🥹💜
