A wonderful partnership for the last 13 years Action Through Enterprise - ATE

We are proudly supported by the wonderful Rotary Club of Swindon who have been by our side for over 13 years. A long standing partnership that has enabled hundreds of lives to be made better in rural Ghana.

It was a joy to be with them today, a lunch full of gratitude for today and plans for tomorrow.

Domestic Abuse and Violence Against the Person

Team Lead: Nicky Alberry [email protected]

World Cup: fun for all? Sadly, no! Incidents of domestic abuse can increase significantly during major football tournaments. Data from the National Centre for Domestic Violence revealed that domestic abuse incidents increase by 26% when England play and 38% when England lose. Incidents also increase by 11% the day after England have played, depending on the result.https://www.ncdv.org.uk/news/world-cup-2026-make-good-choices/

What a wonderful afternoon at the Swindon Rotary Club President’s Lunch held at the Blunsdon House Hotel.

The event brought members and guests together to celebrate Richard Deacon’s year as Club President and to thank him for his dedication, leadership and service over the past twelve months. It was also an opportunity to reflect on another successful year for the Club as we continue celebrating 100 years of Swindon Rotary.

We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, excellent fellowship and plenty of conversation in great company.

We were also delighted to welcome award-winning royal photographer Jack Boskett as our guest speaker. Jack shared a fascinating collection of photographs and stories from his work covering royal events and members of the Royal Family, offering a unique glimpse behind the scenes of some remarkable moments. His warm personality and wonderful sense of humour brought the stories to life and made for an engaging, joyful and memorable presentation.

Thank you, Richard, for your commitment and leadership throughout your presidential year. We wish Debbie Vincent every success as she prepares to lead the Club into its next chapter from 1st July.

Thank you to everyone at Club for all your support.

For our “Kids Out” day today, we had the honour of hosting over thirty young people and carers from Brimble Hill School at the Cotswold Wildlife Park.

The carers are amazing and so dedicated to the youngsters.

Pictured are the intrepid crew from RCSwindon, who enjoyed the trip as much as the guests! Rtns Jan, Debbie, Gary, Sue, Jeremy and Nigel. Foreground Tilley. Out of shot, Ray.

Be part of the magic at our Starlight Walk! ⭐

On Saturday 27 June, our Starlight Walk will bring hundreds of people together to light up the night for hospice care.

But we need volunteers to help bring the event to life! From marshalling the route to handing out medals, there are so many meaningful ways to get involved.

You could be part of the team that makes the magic happen.

To volunteer, email us at [email protected].
