Fast Track Swansea Bay at Neath Civic Centre! 🤝

We’d like to thank Neath Port Talbot Council for inviting us to hold an information stall at their Hate Crime Awareness Staff Drop-in Event at Neath Civic Centre on 15 October.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with staff and raise awareness of TB, HIV, viral hepatitis, and the stigma that can surround sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and bloodborne viruses (BBVs). We discussed how misconceptions, discrimination and fear of judgement can affect people’s lives and prevent them from seeking the support they need. 💬

Through raising awareness, challenging myths and promoting understanding, we can all play a part in tackling stigma and creating more inclusive communities where everyone feels safe, respected and supported. 🫶🤝❤️

Thank you again to Neath Port Talbot Council for the opportunity to connect with local staff and work together towards a future free from stigma and discrimination.️

This World Mental Health Day, remember: nobody should have to navigate their health alone.

Living with HIV can bring challenges that go far beyond physical health. Mental wellbeing, stigma, isolation and feeling understood can all shape someone's experience of care.

Peer support matters. Being listened to matters. And feeling able to ask for help matters.

Good care is about more than treatment. It's about people.

Our aim today and everyday is to help build a Wales where everyone affected by HIV feels supported, connected and able to thrive.

Pop in and chat with us about TB, HIV, hepatitis B and C, and other sexually-transmitted infections and blood-borne viruses at the Penderi Cluster Wellbeing Hub, held at CREST Swansea - Mental Health Support's Recovery College.

We will be there on Monday 12th October and Monday 26th October from 12:30pm - 3:30pm.
