We are really excited to share this with you!

This November, Gram Seed is coming to Swansea, and we are delighted as The Hill Church to be welcoming Gram and his team for a weekend of sharing, equipping and bringing a message of hope to our city.

Gram’s story is extraordinary. Prison, violence, homelessness and addiction were once part of his life, but an encounter with Jesus changed everything. He has since spent years sharing his story across the UK, including through Alpha, prisons, churches and communities.

Across the weekend Gram will be joining us inside Swansea Prison, spending time encouraging and equipping some of our leaders, and we also have two opportunities open to the wider community:

📍Saturday 14 November | 7pm to 9pm | Dyfatty Junction - Come and hear Gram’s remarkable story of a life transformed.

📍Sunday 15 November | 4pm | The Hill Church at Matthew’s House - Gram joins our Sunday gathering to share with us.

The Church is so much bigger than just us, and one of the greatest demonstrations of our faith is a life transformed. Gram’s story is certainly one of those.

THE POWER OF PRAISE 🙌🏼

Yesterday, Dave spoke on the power of praise, taking us from the incredible sound of millions of angels worshipping in Revelation 5, through to Paul and Silas praising God while chained in prison.

Praise brings us into God’s presence. It can change our perspective in difficult circumstances, helping us rise above the clouds and see things from heaven’s perspective.

And sometimes praise comes before the breakthrough.

Dave finished with a really simple challenge: give it a go!

Let’s be free in our praise. Hands up, voices out, hearts open, however that looks for you. Because ultimately, people look at the outside, but God looks at the heart. 🙌🏼❤️

Remembering our very special Annie ❤️

Annie has been part of The Hill family since the very beginning. Over the years she has served with such a graceful heart, brought so much character and joy, and become someone deeply loved by so many of us.

We are sad for us, but so happy for her. Annie has finished her race and is with Jesus. ❤️

We send all our love and prayers to Allan, Hannah, Robin and all of Annie’s family and friends.

We will gather to celebrate Annie’s life on Saturday 26 September at Matthew’s House, Swansea.

Doors open at 2pm
Celebration begins at 2.30pm

There will also be a shorter cremation service at 1pm at Llanelli Crematorium, which is for family and those personally invited.

The celebration will not be livestreamed, but the family hope to record it and make it available afterwards if possible.

We would love those who knew and loved Annie to join us as we remember her, give thanks for her life and celebrate the hope we have in Jesus.

Thank you Annie, for all you have given to The Hill Church family and Matthew’s House. You are very loved and will be very missed.

Great news and a great opportunity for our city 🙌🏼

Many of you will know that one of our leaders here at The Hill, Thom Lynch, was recently appointed Chair of the North Gate Swansea Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.

The programme brings up to £20 million of long term investment into the communities around the northern gateway to Swansea, with local people at the heart of shaping what happens.

It’s been great to see the first community members joining the Board and the story getting some brilliant local coverage too.

But this is only the beginning. There will be more opportunities to join the Board and lots of other ways to get involved, share ideas and play a part in what happens next.

We’re really proud to see Thom serving our city in this way and excited to see what can happen when people work together for the good of their communities.

☀️ Hill Church family Cwmdonkin Park takeover! ❤️

We had such a great time together on Sunday. A bunch of us simply hanging out, sharing a packed lunch, playing games and enjoying being together.

There were plenty of games for the little kids and the big kids, although you can probably guess who took them most seriously! 😂

Special mention to Kurt for the bowl of the day, taking out the competition with an absolutely perfect bowl! 👏🎯

One of our values at The Hill is doing life together, and we certainly did that on Sunday.

Great fun, all ages together and a Sunday well spent! ❤️☀️

☀️ **SUMMER SUNDAYS AT THE HILL!** ☀️

We’re already two Sundays into our summer together and they’ve been great! ❤️

🍦 We kicked things off with ice creams and a hangout at Greenhill Gardens, followed last Sunday by a brilliant afternoon of picnics, games and plenty of fun at Cwmdonkin Park.

And we’re only getting started! Here’s what’s coming up over the next three Sundays…

🧺 **Sunday 16 August | 12 noon**
Picnic at Blackpill Lido
Bring your picnic, swimming stuff if you fancy it, and come spend the afternoon together.

🙏 **Sunday 23 August | 9am**
Worship & Communion at Matthew’s House
A morning gathering together to worship, pray and share communion.

🌿 **Sunday 30 August | 4pm**
Garden Party at Greenhill Gardens
We’ll finish our Summer Sundays back at Greenhill Gardens for a garden party together!

We’ve loved these Sundays already. Church is so much more than a Sunday service, and summer gives us a great opportunity to simply spend time together, build friendships and enjoy being family.

Come along, bring someone with you and we’ll see you there! ☀️❤️
