On a busy day again at today’s work party. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £300 towards the groups funds. This money was raised by Robin Cook, a local Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council councillor and group supporter and will be used to enhance the area for everyone in the local community to enjoy.
Thank you Robin your sub. 2 hour run was followed by the group cheering you all the way.

WORK PARTY PART 2.

In addition to maintaining the pond and wood area by planting and weeding. The group also provides homes for the local inhabitants, bugs, ducks,moorhen etc.
The Fox family erected 2 Bat boxes and a further 2 bird boxes that they had manufactured.
Julie and Eddie have provided a new sign for the Minibeast Mansion

So now as you walk around the pond and wood look out for the new sign and see if you can spot the two new bat boxes and the two new nesting boxes.

TODAYS WORK PARTY, PART 1
The main woodland path was given some attention today. Removing nettle and undergrowth that was encroaching on the path. A good turn out again despite the weather and the forecast.
If anyone thinking of joining us is concerned about the work being too demanding, there is no need for
concern. We all work at our own pace and there are frequent breaks ti chat and catch up with group members. We are a mixed group with ages ranging from 8 to 85.

He only went and did it!

Cllr Robin Cook has successfully completed the Sutton Fun Run! An outstanding achievement and a fantastic effort for a great local cause.
Robin has currently raised £270 for the Friends of Stephens Pond, with every penny staying in our local area to support community projects, events and activities for residents.
A huge well done to Robin for taking on the challenge and crossing the finish line. We are all incredibly proud of you and grateful for your commitment to supporting our community.
