WOW, Hylton Castle! 🎉

What a day! Summerfest was our biggest and busiest event ever, and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to the hundreds of you who came along to celebrate with us. 💜

🎉 Summerfest is back! 🎉

We are so excited to announce that we have been able to rearrange our Summerfest event at Lambton Street!

Unfortunately, the weather got in the way last time, but we're bringing all the fun to Lambton Street Youth Centre on:

⏰ 11am to 2pm

This fantastic event is FREE for families, young people and people of all ages.

🎉Congratulations to our first HAF Plus Young Volunteers Programme🎉
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our first HAF Plus Programme participants.
Over the programme, these amazing young people have supported and mentored within HAF activities, volunteered at SummerFest events, working with members or the community, and completed training in Emergency Life Support (health start), Safeguarding, Introduction to Play, Introduction to Youth Work, Manual Handling, and Healthy Eating.
Their commitment, dedication, and enthusiasm has been outstanding. They should all be incredibly proud of who they are and everything they have achieved. They have shown maturity, confidence, and a willingness to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
A huge thank you to Lambton Street Youth and Community Hub and Sunderland All Together Consortium for the support in making this possible

There are an estimated 32,000 accounts in the North East that haven’t been claimed, could they belong to you or young people you work with?

Young people born in the UK between 1st September 2002 - 2nd January 2011 (15-23 years), will have had a Child Trust Fund set up with £250 from the government. This was to make sure they have some money when they turn 18, to spend on things they need or to save and earn interest for their future.

Any young person who has been in care for more than 12 months after 2nd January 2011 without moving out of the system, will have a Junior ISA account. The Government put in £200 in the account when it was opened, the amount may have gone up or down slightly, but there will be money waiting for them when they turn 18. We know that this money can make such a big difference, especially if they are just about to leave care.

We want to help those young people find and get the money they’re entitled to for free!
