💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today we want to celebrate all the dads, step-dads, grandads, foster dads, adoptive dads, and father figures who love, support, and care for the little ones in their lives.

At Little Bird Baby Bank we see every day how important that love and support can be — whether it’s a dad collecting a referral, building a cot, doing the school run, or simply being there when it matters most.

We also hold space for those who may find today difficult: families missing a loved one, parents who are separated from their children, and anyone carrying mixed emotions on Father’s Day.

Thank you to all the fathers and father figures who help children feel safe, loved, and valued. Your kindness, patience, and hard work make a difference every single day.

Another busy morning as we continue preparing for our relocation to our new premises!

A huge thank you to my twin grandchildren who have been helping out this morning, and to my daughter and baby granddaughter who came along yesterday to lend a hand too. It really is a family effort, and we couldn’t do it without the support of those around us.

While we’re busy packing, sorting and organising for the move, referrals continue to come in and families still need our support. We remain committed to helping local families throughout this transition period.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding and continued support as we work towards opening our new home at the Mansley Centre. We can’t wait to welcome you all there soon!

You Help? 📢
As we prepare for our move to our new premises, we’re looking for a couple of heavy-duty clothes hanging rails/racks for Little Bird Baby Bank.

These will be used in our new Preloved is Reloved charity shop area to help display and organise pre-loved clothing, raising vital funds to enable us to continue supporting local families and children in need across our community.

If anyone has any sturdy clothes rails they no longer need and would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful.

Every donation helps us keep our costs down and allows more funds to go directly back into helping local families.

🛍️ Our Relocation Sale is on, so it’s the perfect opportunity to grab a bargain from our charity shop. Remember, pre-loved is re-loved ❤️

We will also be open for:

Interested in volunteering? We’d love to hear from you! We are always looking for new volunteers to join our amazing team. We are also currently looking to recruit a couple of Trustees.

This will be one of the last times we’re open at Swan House before we relocate to our new premises
We are hoping to move mid to late July, with a confirmed opening date to follow.

Things are incredibly busy behind the scenes at Little Bird Baby Bank as we prepare for our exciting move to larger, more suitable premises.

Whilst packing, organising, and planning for the move, there has been absolutely no let-up in demand for our services. In fact, we’ve already processed six referrals this week alone, showing just how much our community continues to need support.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding, and continued support whilst we’ve had to temporarily reduce our opening hours. Your kindness means so much to us.

We’re working hard and hoping to be fully open in our new premises by the end of July, and we can’t wait to welcome you all and continue supporting local families from our new home.

Today we supported a young mum-to-be who is expecting a little boy in the coming weeks.

The referral came to us via a support worker from a local refuge, who is helping this young mother as she prepares for the arrival of her baby. Facing difficult circumstances and with very few resources of her own, she was understandably worried about how she would provide the essentials her little boy will need.

Through Little Bird Baby Bank, we were able to provide a range of baby essentials to help her prepare for his arrival and give her one less thing to worry about during what should be a special time.

Every referral reminds us why our charity exists. Behind every request for support is a family navigating challenges that many of us never see. We are grateful to be able to offer practical help when it is needed most.

We wish this lovely mum all the very best as she awaits the arrival of her little boy and hope that brighter days lie ahead for them both. 💙

We could really do with two more kallax units not really bothered about the colour ideally white .. one 2x4 … one 2x 2 to fit on top of what we have atm … it would be amazing if we can achieve this ..
