Broomley Grange Funding Appeal Launched
Broomley Grange is facing an uncertain future, and we urgently need support to get through the winter and keep our doors open.
For nearly 50 years, Broomley Grange has been a place where young people discover new experiences, build confidence, make friends and create memories that last a lifetime. As we look towards our 50th birthday in 2027, we want to secure this special place for generations to come. Now, we need your help to make that happen.
Alex MacLennan, Chair of Broomley Grange volunteer trustees, said:
I would like to start by thanking our past and present volunteer trustees who have all worked above and beyond to keep the site open. I know just how much we have all dedicated in time and be frugal, yet continue to manage the site safely and also make when we could improvements which have been welcomed.
Added to these thanks, our contracted in activity leaders, chef, cleaners, safety advisors and suppliers who make up the team for Broomley Grange.
Finally to the groups and individuals who always comment how wonderful the site is followed by "do folk not know it's here"
We want to be still open to celebrate Broomley's 50th birthday in 2027 knowing that Broomley Grange has a bright future ahead. This is about protecting a valuable asset and ensuring that young people continue to have the opportunity to experience adventure, challenge and the many benefits that a visit to Broomley Grange in Northumberland can bring.
Bookings have been improving year on year in the summer months, but so to have the running costs been rising to keep open all year round and this coming wnter it is clear we need to ask for help and be honest about these challenges now to prevent closure!
There are two important ways you can help Broomley Grange: by making a donation to support now, or by booking a stay, activity or event at the centre this autumn. Every donation and every booking makes a real difference!
“We’re asking former visitors, families, local residents, businesses and community groups to stand with Broomley Grange. If you can’t donate or book, please help by sharing the Broomley appeal with others.
Whether you make a donation, book a visit or simply spread the word, you can play a part in securing Broomley Grange’s future.
Together, we can help ensure that this much-loved centre remains open, creating opportunities and memories for the next generation and beyond.
