Beryl, a resident from Westmeads, described the day as "absolutely wonderful."

"It's so brilliant that we were able to host the celebration and commemorate Creative Support's 35th ... Bringing people together for a big celebration like this is amazing, and we've got more to come!," said Natalie, Team Leader.

“I enjoyed it all, it’s been fabulous,” said Violet, who won the ‘Social Butterfly’ award.

Looking extra glamorous in their best dress, people we support in Barnsley enjoyed an evening filled with music, entertainment, and personalised awards.

Richard Craig started the event with live music and witty jokes, followed by Hanoush whose vocals got everyone up dancing!

A huge congratulations to residents Ken and Mary, who received an extra special thanks for all of the extra bits they love to contribute around the service.

"We've come here together because we're very good friends." - Gwen.

"When I first came here, I didn't realise there would be so much going off with it being independent living. Clare makes it, every day she does something brilliant and she just keeps everybody going, I think." - Julie.

With afternoon tea to spur them on, residents in Barnsley had a lovely day of crafts and conversations while reflecting on our sixth 'I' Statement: I enjoy relationships with others. 💛

Hear from a few of the attendees who tell us about the importance of relationships, and those they treasure most.

We're looking forward to our next Engagement Workshop in London on Thursday, 15th October.
