A huge thank you to all the generous shoppers of Waitrose & Partners in for supporting us over the past 2 days.

Thank you to the managers for their continued support in permitting us to continue with our traditional summer collections
. ..and finally a massive thank you to all our wonderful volunteers and supporters that put in a shift today and yesterday, we couldn't have done it without you🥰

Amazing suppport🥰

On Saturday, we will be in the car park to receive donations for Chelwood Foodbank Plus - Fighting SK Poverty between 10 and noon.
Requests this week include nappies, size 5 and 6, toilet roll, antibac surface cleaner, tooth brushes, washing up liquid, dish cloths and black bin bags.
Thank you for your help. It matters a lot.

We echo this entirely at Chelwood Foodbank Plus - Fighting SK Poverty week 🥰

Volunteers are amazing they give their time freely and generously and honestly we would not exist without them. Our leadership team, our trustee board our regular and ad hoc volunteers are fantastic and we are so grateful.

At Friendly Fridays we have so many helping hands and some of them wouldn't even consider calling themselves volunteers!

Every week our community offers to do small jobs through our purposeful volunteering scheme. Basically you rock up on the day and let us know you'd be happy to help out with one or two tasks. Maybe sort through a bag of donations or do a round of washing up. Some stay and help us pack away at the end of the day or pop in early in the morning to help us set up. Everyone is willing and that's what counts.

But you too are a volunteer in a way. Taking time to read our posts, to comment and to share what we write. You are also helping us with micro-volunteering!

So thank you to everyone who supports us in so many ways. Everything you do is noticed 💕

Great service from Merseyway Shopping Centre

💙 It’s ShopMobility Awareness Week! 💙 Did you know that Merseyway offers a FREE ShopMobility service for visitors who need a little extra support during their visit? 🦽

Since reintroducing the service last year, we’ve been delighted to help more people enjoy shopping and visiting the town centre with the use of a ride-on scooter or wheelchair.

One of our customers, Valery Pearson, said:
“Thank you for this mobility service. Last year, I saw an advertisement to shop with a scooter and instantly, I was delighted. In one year my life has changed and this service has benefited me greatly. Without the scooter available, I would struggle to visit the town centre to shop.”

Need to borrow a scooter or wheelchair? Simply pop into the Management Suite on the first floor or call 0161 480 2839 and our friendly team will be happy to help.

Week is officially this week. We are blessed to have these earth angels choose our charity and our mission. We would be lost without them as they are the backbone of - Chelwood Foodbank Plus - Fighting SK Poverty. A huge thank you to all our volunteers - past, present & camerashy! We know these photos don't capture all of our wonderful volunteers and the amazing work they do but we hope it gives a flavour🥰

These 2 earth angels a.k.a.Holly & Max Puddy, did a cakebake sale at the weekend which generated £250 for our charity - simply amazing. Thank you so much, what a lovely thing to do🥰
