Safebase

Safebase Safebase is a dedicated, volunteer-led charity (SC050310) working in close partnership with Police, Ambulance, and Fire services.

Together, we provide essential support, ensuring safety and wellbeing within our community. We are a volunteer led charity working in partnership with Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland, NHS Forth Valley and. Scottish Fire and Rescue Services. We provide Crisis and Immediate life support with our partners. During Covid we supported those in need directly, local groups & NHS using our bus

iness connections to source food, clothing, books and toiletries. Our aim is to support those that need help when in times of crisis. Our base locations allow people to have chat, warm up, grab a coffee, seek immediate medical help or support with onward referral to other services. We also provide community event first aid cover with volunteers with experience of managing both large & small scale events. We are not for profit so only cover our costs to ensure that we are supporting the community were ever we can. If you think we can help please get in touch, we can run awareness courses in first aid or just show you some basic tips.

๐Ÿ† Congratulations to Our Chairperson, Richard McLennan ๐Ÿ†

Tonight, we are incredibly proud to share that our Chairperson, Richard McLennan, was named the winner of the Inspire Volunteering Award 2026 as part of the Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise Inspire volunteer awards.

Richard has dedicated countless hours to supporting communities across Stirling, Falkirk and beyond, helping to build Safebase Scotland into the organisation it is today. His leadership, commitment and determination have helped create a service that supports thousands of people each year through welfare, first aid, mental health support and community safety initiatives.

Speaking after receiving the award, Richard said:

"No volunteer does what they do for awards. We do it because we believe in making a difference and we are passionate about helping others. Without a dedicated team of volunteers, Safebase Scotland would not be what it is today. My role is simply to lead and coordinate the team, which is the easy part. The real credit belongs to every volunteer who gives up their time to support our communities."

While this award recognises Richard's contribution, everyone at Safebase Scotland knows it also reflects the commitment of our entire volunteer family. Every patrol, every event, every welfare check and every person helped is the result of volunteers working together with a shared purpose.

Richard added:

"I am truly honoured and humbled to receive this award. To be recognised alongside so many inspiring volunteers is a privilege. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, Safebase Scotland, and the communities we serve. Well done to all the winners tonight"

Please join us in congratulating Richard on this well-deserved recognition. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

A great morning helping at Stirling Walking the Marches with our friends Police Scotland Forth Valley .

This historic event have been part of the Stirling Culture for over 900 years. Patrolling and checking the city boundaries, sods of turf and turf walls often marked the boundaries.

Our bikes from FEL Scotland proved handy once again, our cycle response team zipping along side the walk to assist where needed.

๐ŸŽ… SANTA NEEDS YOUR HELP๐ŸŽ…

Good evening Falkirk, Santa is really needing help from the Community of Falkirk, Due to some behind the scenes technical issues Santa and his elves are desperately needing to find a new place to store the Sleigh.

โš ๏ธWe need out of hours access, somewhere that is safe and secure & power to charge the sleighโš ๏ธ

If anyone has a unit or Garage that could fit the sleigh please get in touch today.

If there are any local businesses in the Falkirk area who would be kind enough to let us store the sleigh in there premises please get in touch, for local businesses we can put your Name or company logo on our Santa sleigh schedule as a bit of advertisement for you.

Share far and wide and let's save Falkirk's Christmas float!๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽ…

โš ๏ธ A difficult conversation but one we need to haveโš ๏ธ

We know e-scooters and e-bikes are popular and many young people see them as fun, convenient and harmless. Unfortunately, we are increasingly seeing near misses, injuries and dangerous use across our communities.

Many parents are shocked to discover that privately owned e-scooters are illegal on public roads, pavements, parks and cycle paths in the UK.
This is not about blaming young people. It is about keeping them safe.

A collision at even low speed can change a life in seconds, not just for the rider, but for pedestrians and other road users too.

Please take a few minutes to read the graphic below and speak to your children about:
๐Ÿšซ Where these vehicles can legally be used
๐Ÿช– The importance of helmets and protective gear
โšก The dangers of speed and inexperience
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Parental responsibility and the legal consequences
Awareness saves injuries. Conversations save lives.

Please like, share and help us spread the message across Stirling, Falkirk and beyond ๐Ÿ’™
