HAYDAYS FIFE is a welcoming community group for EVERYONE 50 +
Meeting Tuesdays (9.15- 4pm) during term time in St Andrews TOWN HALL.

Enjoy a great mix of activities, like
Salsa dancing , Stained Glass, Art, Canasta , Ukulele, Choir,Reading, Craft Each class has the aim to improve the recreation and leisure time of Haydays members, to promote and encourage health , wellbeing and life long learning. we also have a lot of fun!

💛🌻 HAYDAYS IS BACK AND WHAT A TUESDAY IT WAS! 🌻💛

We were back in full swing today, with all our classes up and running and Haydays buzzing with creativity, music, laughter, friendship and fun, as always! 🥰

Our delicious soup went down a treat, along with some wonderful home baking kindly provided by our members. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our café table so lovely. ☕🍰

Our new crochet tutor, Jamie, was absolutely delighted by the enthusiasm in her new class. She loved meeting everyone and experiencing first hand what makes Haydays such a special and welcoming community. 💛

Jamie was also very touched to receive our Flowers of Kindness from the café table. 🌻💐 It’s always lovely to show our appreciation and give a warm Haydays welcome to someone new joining our wonderful team.

A huge Haydays thank you to Anne Hastie for stepping in once again to host another fantastic decoupage masterclass for our craft group. I was so sorry to have missed it yet again! 😂 I think I may have to arrange a private one-to-one session with Anne at this rate! ✂️🎨

It’s so good to be back together again, sharing new experiences, learning new skills and, most importantly, enjoying each other’s company.

Here’s to many more Tuesdays filled with friendship, laughter and a little bit of magic! 💛🌻

🌻💛 And that’s a wrap for Haydays today! 💛🌻

Our two week October holiday break has officially begun, and what a wonderful way to finish another busy block of classes!

Today, as always, our classes were in full swing, with plenty of laughter, friendship, creativity and fun. A huge thank you to Anne Hastie, who stepped in at Craft and shared her wonderful skill and knowledge of decoupage. It went down incredibly well, with our members creating some beautiful decorative pieces. What a lovely addition to the day! 🌻

When we return in two weeks, all our usual classes will continue, along with two new classes: our additional Mahjong class and our brand new Crochet class. Both have already proved very popular, with lots of members signing up, so we’re looking forward to seeing them get underway!

But Haydays is so much more than the classes themselves. 💛

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers, who help make every Tuesday happen. From setting up the café in the morning, preparing and warming the soup, serving our members, clearing everything away and helping with all the little jobs throughout the day, you are absolutely invaluable.

And of course, we have to give a very special mention to our fantastic caretakers, Roy, Morven and Scott. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They are constantly setting up classes, moving things around, dismantling one class so the next can begin and making sure the Town Hall works for everyone. We really couldn’t do it without you! 🌻

And then there is our amazing committee, who continually go above and beyond to make sure our members are supported, looked after and have everything they need. Your dedication, kindness and sheer hard work never go unnoticed. 💛

As we celebrate our 25th year as a charity, we feel incredibly lucky to have such wonderful tutors, volunteers, committee members and, most importantly, such a fantastic membership community.

We enrich each other’s lives in so many ways, and that is what makes Haydays so special. It’s about friendship, belonging, laughter and making sure that everyone has a reason to look forward to Tuesday.

So, to all our members, tutors, volunteers and friends of Haydays, have a lovely October break. Put your feet up, enjoy yourselves and we’ll see you all back in two weeks, ready for another fabulous Tuesday! 🌻💛

🌻💛 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY AT HAYDAYS! 💛🌻

Another fantastic Tuesday here at HAYDAYS, with all our classes in full swing and, as always, being enjoyed by our wonderful members. There is such a lovely buzz around the Town Hall every Tuesday, and today was certainly no exception!

Today was REGISTRATION DAY… and what an epic event it was! 😅 We registered well over 200 members for our next block of classes. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, queued patiently and brought their usual smiles and good humour!

Our new block of classes will begin on Tuesday 27th October, after our October break from 6th October.

🌟 My Fair Lady – Pitlochry Festival Theatre
Wednesday 9th December

We still have a few spaces available for this lovely day out. We’ll leave St Andrews at 10am, enjoy a visit to the House of Bruar first, followed by a wonderful afternoon theatre performance of My Fair Lady. A perfect winter day out! 🚌🎭

👑 Sleeping Beauty – The Byre Theatre
Tuesday 8th December

We also have two tickets still available for our festive trip to see the pantomime Sleeping Beauty. Oh yes we do! 😂🎄

And finally, a HUGE thank you to our absolutely wonderful committee who worked their socks off today! 🧦😂 From setting everything up to registering over 200 members and keeping everything running smoothly, they were simply amazing.

HAYDAYS really is a team effort, and we are so incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated bunch of volunteers giving their time, energy and enthusiasm to make it all happen. 💛

💛🌻 WHAT A BRILLIANT DAY AT HAYDAYS! 🌻💛

Yesterday was another absolutely tremendous Tuesday at Haydays, with our Town Hall full of activity, laughter and friendship.

With 20 classes taking place, there was something happening everywhere you looked. Creativity, dancing, music, movement and lots of happy faces. It really was a full on, fantastic day! 💃🎶🎨

And we have to give a very special mention to the home baking yesterday! 🍰🧁☕️

What an amazing selection there was to choose from. It was honestly difficult to decide what to have! A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who give their time and put so much effort into baking for us. It is very much appreciated, and our members certainly enjoy the results! 💛

It is also wonderful to see how our classes continue to grow and develop. Our Jamming session, two African Drumming sessions and Pilates have all been a huge success since being introduced in August, and we are delighted to be able to offer even more opportunities for creativity, learning, movement and, most importantly, having fun together.

And there is more to come!

🌻 Next Tuesday is registration day for our next six week block of classes, which begins on Tuesday 27th October after the holidays.

We are also delighted to be introducing another new creative class:

We love being able to introduce new activities and give our members the opportunity to try something different, learn a new skill and perhaps discover a hidden talent!

What a fantastic night last night at Revel at the Byre Theatre. Beautiful choreography and music . Congratulations to Kally and friend of Company Chordelia.
We were thrilled to see the funeral dance we learned at Haydays workshop with Kally. If you can still get tickets , we would definitely recommend. 🥰

🌻💛 EXCITING NEWS FROM HAYDAYS! 💛🌻

We have some incredibly exciting news for our next block of classes, starting Tuesday 27th October! 🎉

🀄 NEW BEGINNERS’ MAHJONG CLASS 🀄

We are delighted to be introducing a brand new Mahjong class for beginners, with our wonderful tutor Linda McLaughlin.

🕚 11:15am – 12:30pm

Mahjong has already proven to be incredibly popular at Haydays, so we are really excited to give members who are new to the game the chance to learn, have fun and enjoy this wonderful social activity together. ❤️

And there’s more!

We are absolutely delighted to welcome our new tutor Jamie Pinfold to the Haydays family. Jamie is very excited to be joining this fantastic organisation and will be starting a brand new Crochet class, suitable for complete beginners or those who are already more experienced.

Whether you have always wanted to learn to crochet or would like to develop the skills you already have, we hope you’ll come along and join Jamie! 🧶🌻

And of course, all of our other 19 fantastic classes will be continuing into the October block. They are proving incredibly popular, and it is wonderful to see so many members enjoying the activities, friendships, laughter and sense of community that Haydays brings.

🎄❤️ EXCITING CHRISTMAS NEWS FROM HAYDAYS! ❤️🎄

This year is extra special as HAYDAYS celebrates 25 wonderful years, and we are planning a very special Christmas Party and 25th Anniversary Celebration for our members.

We have lots of exciting things in store, including:

❤️ A celebration of our longest serving tutors, Carlyn Kirkcaldy and Liz Rowley

We are going to take a little break on Tuesday 8th December to give us time to get everything organised and ready for what promises to be a very special celebration the following week.

🚌🎭 EXCITING CHRISTMAS OUTING! 🎭🚌

❤️ MY FAIR LADY, PITLOCHRY FESTIVAL THEATRE ❤️
WEDNESDAY 9th DECEMBER
Join us for what promises to be a really, really fantastic day out!

🚌 We will leave St Andrews at 10am and travel to House of Bruar, where there will be time to browse the lovely shops and enjoy some lunch if you wish.

🎭 We then head to Pitlochry Festival Theatre for the 2pm performance of My Fair Lady.

🌟 The show is sure to be superb, and we think this is going to be a truly spectacular day out!

The coach will collect us at approximately 5pm, when the show finishes, and bring us back to St Andrews.

🎟️ Cost, £75 per person

This includes your theatre ticket and coach travel, so everything is organised for you.

❤️ Open to all HAYDAYS members.

💛🌻 Another magical day at Haydays! 🌻💛

Yesterday was just such a fantastic day for our members. From the moment we opened the doors, Haydays was buzzing with laughter, creativity, friendship and, of course, plenty of fun!

And the lovely thing is, the word is still spreading, people are hearing that Haydays is a happy, welcoming place to be, a wonderful community where everyone can come along, try something new, meet new people and simply enjoy themselves. And they’re still coming through our doors to join in! 🥰

There was so much happening across our classes yesterday. 🎨
Our craft class was full of beautiful creations, with mandala stones being painted and wonderful little noughts and crosses boards being made, complete with tiny ladybirds and bumblebees. 🐞🐝

The African drumming was full of energy, learning the names of songs used in Africa and putting those arms to good use! 🥁 What a workout!

Pilates is becoming quite a thing at Haydays too, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the chance to move, stretch and strengthen together. 🧘‍♀️

And then there’s Tai Chi… ❤️ Yesterday our members were learning an exquisite sword dance, complete with those long flowing red tassels. It really is beautiful to watch — especially when our wonderful tutor demonstrates it!

And, of course, no Haydays day would be complete without our amazing home baking and delicious soup. 🍰🥣 There’s always plenty of chat around the tables and, perhaps most importantly, plenty of smiling faces.

Behind it all are our incredible caretakers, who work so hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. Without them, none of this would be possible, and we are so very grateful. ❤️

So, another Tuesday comes to an end, leaving us already looking forward to next week , catching up with friends, welcoming new faces, trying new things and enjoying another day of fun, friendship and creativity.

This really is what Haydays is all about. 💛🌻

🌻 A wonderful new partnership for Haydays 💛

We were so fortunate yesterday to welcome Elaine Paxton from Clayton Holiday Park, who came along to experience a little taste of what Haydays has to offer, and what better way to do that than by joining in our fabulous Salsa class with our wonderful tutor Carolyn Kirkcaldy! 💃🕺

Clayton Holiday Park has become Haydays’ very first Founding Community Partner, and we cannot begin to express how grateful we are for their incredibly generous support.

Their commitment to making an ongoing contribution to Haydays, year after year, will help us to continue providing the wide range of activities, classes, friendship and opportunities that mean so much to our members. ❤️

It is wonderful to have the support of a local business that believes in what we are trying to achieve m, helping older people in our community stay active, creative, connected and, most importantly, valued.

Our members are hugely grateful, and we hope this is just the beginning of something really special.

We would love to see other local businesses join us as Community Partners and help us continue this very worthwhile work. Together, we can make an enormous difference to the lives of older people in our community.

🌟 ONE OF OUR HAYDAYS STARS IS TAKING TO THE STAGE! 🌟

We are absolutely delighted to share that our fantastic caretaker Morven is going to be starring in an amazing production by the Anstruther and District Amateur Musical Society (ADAMS) at The Byre Theatre, from Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th September! 🎭✨

Quite honestly, Haydays simply wouldn’t run without our wonderful caretakers, Roy, Morven and Scott. They do so much behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, and we are incredibly grateful for every one of them. ❤️

Having seen productions by ADAMS before, I can honestly guarantee that this will be a fantastic night out! 🎶👏

So why not go along, support our very own Morven, enjoy a brilliant show, and support The Byre Theatre too? We are so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful theatre right here on our doorstep in St Andrews. 🌟
