University of St. Andrews Knitting Society KnitSoc is the official knitting and crochet society of the University of St. Andrews. The University of St.

Andrews Knitting Society is a club which meets up regularly to knit and crochet together. We have many activities throughout the year such as day trips, yarn "bombing", socials, and contests. We range in level, and beginners are especially welcome– we love spreading the art of knitting! We have an extra event next week! Join KnitSoc and Dog Walking Soc in a special edition of Knit and Natter!

It’s on Wednesday 2-3:30pm at Holy Trinity Church Hall. Materials and teaching are provided as usual, and dog walking soc are providing the dogs! The perfect mid week break with some chill crafting and cuddling, make sure to come along!

If you’ve been wanting to join in on Knit Soc events but are not a member of the university, you can now do so! All events are free (unless otherwise stated). If you want to support us, you can buy associate membership by emailing the union ([email protected]). You have access to most things ordinary members have, but you can’t be on the committee. Wanna try your hand at knitting, crochet, embroidery or spinning? Come along to the Botanic Gardens on Friday, 10am-12pm in the boiler house for a chill session of crafting and making friends amongst plants and good company! Come and learn to crochet with the Knitting Society! If you’ve been meaning to give it a go, but never had the time, this event is for you. All materials will be provided, and it’s completely free. All beginners welcome, even if you’ve never touched yarn before in your life!

Knit and Natter time table for semester 1!

Every Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm from weeks 1-11, in the small rehearsal room of the Union (except week 6, which is in meeting room 2). (UPGRADE FROM LAST YEARS ROOM!!!)

Absolutely everyone is welcome, total beginner to pro, with any fibre craft you want. Materials are provided, but if you want to take it home, all items cost £1.5 (WHAT A DEAL!!).

Teaching for knitting, crochet, and spinning are always available. DON’T BE AFRAID IF YOU’VE GOT QUESTIONS!
