🚀 Opportunity: External Examiner - Arts, Health & Wellbeing / Arts Practice | Cyfle: Arholwr Allanol - Celfyddydau, Iechyd a Llesiant / Ymarfer Celfyddydau 🚀 *sgroliwch lawr am y Gymraeg*

The University of South Wales is seeking a Subject External Examiner to support its postgraduate provision in Arts, Health and Wellbeing and undergraduate provision in Arts Practice.

This is a four-year appointment, with the opportunity to contribute to academic standards, assessment and the student experience across both theory and practice.

⏳ Application deadline: 10 September 2026

✨ No previous External Examiner experience is required — mentoring is available for the successful applicant.

📣 Opportunity for evaluators working across health, wellbeing, arts and young people | Cyfle i werthusowyr sy'n gweithio ar draws iechyd, lles, y celfyddydau a phobl ifanc 📣 *sgroliwch lawr am y Gymraeg*

A new opportunity has come up with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to evaluate a Creative Wellbeing project working with young people and families across Conwy and Denbighshire.

The evaluation will explore the impact of creative approaches on wellbeing, confidence, resilience, social connection and engagement, as well as the wider value for mental health services.

🎵 What can music bring to health and wellbeing? | Beth all cerddoriaeth ei gynnig i iechyd a llesiant? 🎵

Meet Joe Pelé Boyd, another of our Stepping In mentees 💜

Joe is a freelance music teacher who volunteers with music charities across Gogledd Cymru. Through Stepping In, he’s exploring how music can be used in healthcare, including for rehabilitation, while developing his knowledge of the health field.

💃 “They want Rubicon to stay”

For more than 10 years, Rubicon Dance has worked with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to bring dance into health settings, from stroke rehabilitation to mental health, children’s services and neuropsychiatry.

A recent case study in our Knowledge Bank online explores what’s been learned along the way, the challenges around sustainability, and how Rubicon is working with NHS and third sector partners to shape the future of its dance and health programme.

Francesca is a multidisciplinary sound artist whose practice explores culture, traditions and folklore through our landscapes and environments.

Through Stepping In, she has been looking forward to connecting with fellow artists and practitioners in North Wales and taking steps towards new learning in arts and health.
