A TRULY FABULOUS AREA DAY

What a wonderful Area Day it was yesterday at Shoreham Community Centre. Our morning session started with National Speaker Karen Frew from Northern Ireland who came over to give a talk on Christian Dior which was extremely interesting and very well presented. Lunch was then served followed by delicious cupcakes made by our very own master baker, Gill Davey, from Lancing flower club. We then settled down to watch a fabulously entertaining demonstration by Julia Loudon titled ‘Out of the Orient’. Thank you Karen and Julia for making our day so special, particularly being our 65th anniversary year. What a treat it was.

It’s seems so long ago that, when taking photos, you needed a camera and then days to wait for them to be developed! Mobile phones can do most things these days including giving us instant pictures!

Thank you Barbara Caldecourt for your fabulous demonstration ‘My Snapshots’ this afternoon. You mixed different styles and colour matches seamlessly. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit - a lovely relaxing break in our day!
