Laxey House Rescue is looking for kind, reliable people to join our charity shop volunteer team at:

📍 4 Collum Lane, Ashby, DN16 2TA

Our Ashby shop is our only shop and helps raise vital funds for our wildlife rescue and rehabilitation work. Every donation sold, every customer served and every hour volunteered helps us care for wildlife in need. 🦊🦇🐦

We’re looking for volunteers who can spare a few hours and would enjoy helping with things such as:

🛍️ Serving customers
👕 Sorting and pricing donated items
🏷️ Preparing stock for the shop floor
✨ Creating displays and keeping the shop looking great
♻️ Giving pre-loved items a new home
🦉 Helping raise funds for wildlife rescue

No previous charity shop experience is needed.

Whether you’re looking for something worthwhile to do, want to meet people, have some spare time to give, or simply love knowing that your efforts are directly helping wildlife, we’d love to hear from you.

All of our volunteers genuinely make a difference.

Come and join our lovely team! 🌿💚

Phew what a busy Saturday!

We’ve been working hard to make some changes in the shop to make sure the entire shop is accessible to our wonderful customers 100% of the time.

We’ve taken some time out of accepting new donations while upstairs underwent some major refurbishment and rearranging.

We hope the change is sustainable 🤣. We just need to get on top of and get used to the changes but we hope you enjoy an easier browsing experience and we should be able to accept donations again towards the end of next week 🖤

Today (Wednesday the 7th October) opening hours will be affected as volunteers work around other commitments. Sorry for any inconvenience but we we’ll be back open for the full day tomorrow 🖤
