🎃🌸 A little creativity, a little company, and time just for you!

Our Floral Pumpkin Workshop was about so much more than creating beautiful autumn decorations. 💚

It was lovely to welcome back familiar faces, including people who joined our workshops last year and have returned again!

And that’s something really special to us.

People come because they enjoy being creative, but also because it’s an opportunity to get out of the house, catch up with others, meet new people and simply switch off from everyday life for a couple of hours.

We also welcomed younger participants who came along to get creative, enjoy some screen-free time and make something completely their own. 🌸

One thing we love about our workshops is that there’s no pressure to get things perfect.

There are no strict rules, no rushing and no expectation that everyone’s creation should look the same.

You’re given the materials, tools and a little guidance from our lovely workshop facilitator, but where your creativity takes you is entirely up to you!

Whether you’re experienced, trying something new or simply fancy a couple of hours doing something different, there’s a place for you.

Our workshops welcome people of all ages and abilities, because creativity should be something everyone can enjoy. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a lovely session!

And thank you to the Better Care Fund, whose support helps us bring these creative opportunities to our community.

🌿 Come for an activity. Find a connection.

Keep an eye on our page for our upcoming Christmas wreath workshops and more creative activities!

🥌 More than just Curling & Cuppa

Our Curling & Cuppa sessions are about much more than having a game and a chat.

Indoor curling gives people a gentle way to move their bodies without it feeling like formal exercise.

During a game, you may be:

* standing and changing position
* practising balance and stability
* using your arms and hands to control the curling stick
* pushing and directing the stones
* coordinating what you see with how you move
* bending, reaching and moving around the playing area
* concentrating on aim, distance and strategy

These kinds of everyday movements can help us stay active, maintain confidence in our movement and keep using important physical skills. Adapted curling is also used because it can encourage hand-eye coordination and functional movements in an enjoyable, accessible way.

And then there’s the other side of it. 💛

You’re playing alongside other people.
You’re talking.
You’re laughing.
You’re concentrating.
You’re getting out of the house.
And often, without really noticing it, you’re moving too.

That’s exactly why activities like this matter to us at Incredible Winterton.

Physical wellbeing + mental stimulation + social connection — all around one curling mat and a cuppa.

Come for an activity. Find a connection. 🥌☕
