Caption for the Marsh Harrier?

This Marsh Harrier's face says it all...!

The common terns are not afraid to defend their territories, especially when there are their young around!

Enjoy this wonderful shot taken by Rolf Jonsen on our reserve recently :)

We thought our members may be interested in this.

What a wonderful morning we had at The Crowle Peatland Railway learning the history of the railway and links to the local area as well as the flora, fauna and restoration work the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust are doing on thec Crowle moors.
Matt showed us the hydrological management of the site, where peat had been cut, how the water table is monitored and how the sphagnum moss is a key indicator of progress and balance and can hold 2o times their own weight of water.
The beauty of the railway is that you can buy your ticket for £2, and be taken down to the heart of this Special Site of Scientific Interest.
You can then enjoy the stillness and beauty of the site (yesterday we heard the cuckoo calling), and then get picked and safely returned for great homemade food at a very affordable price.
We learned a lot and ate a lot! Thank You to everybody involved.
