💙 SAUNDERSFOOT ROTARY RAISES £2,429 FOR PROSTATE CYMRU! 💙

🚶‍♂️ A fantastic fundraising effort for men’s health!

On 24 September, 23 members and friends of Saundersfoot Rotary took part in a sponsored 10km walk around Angle in support of Prostate Cymru.

☀️ With fine weather and ideal walking conditions, everyone rose to the challenge before enjoying a well-deserved lunch at the Wavecrest Tea Room.

👏 We’re delighted to announce that the walk has raised an incredible £2,429! 🎉

This wonderful achievement reflects the generosity and community spirit of everyone involved, helping to support the important work of Prostate Cymru and its commitment to men’s health across Wales.

🙏 A huge thank you to everyone who took part, sponsored our walkers and helped make this event such a success.

Together, we’re making a difference! 💙

💜 LIGHTING UP SAUNDERSFOOT HARBOUR FOR WORLD POLIO DAY! 💜

Tonight, the Schooner at Saundersfoot Harbour will be illuminated in purple to mark World Polio Day – 24 October. 💜

But why purple? 🤔

The purple colour represents the purple dye used to mark the little fingers of children who have been vaccinated against polio in countries where vaccination campaigns take place. 💜☝️

World Polio Day raises awareness of the global fight to eradicate polio, a devastating disease that can cause lifelong paralysis. Thanks to vaccination, we are closer than ever to a polio-free world, but there is still work to do.

Rotary has played a major role in the global effort to end polio, helping to protect millions of children through its End Polio Now campaign. 🌍💉

So, when you see the Schooner glowing purple tonight, remember what it stands for: hope, protection and a world free from polio.

📍 Ocean Square & The Strand, Saundersfoot

⏰ Registration opens at 12:30pm in Ocean Square, with the fun runs starting from 1:30pm at the beginning of The Strand.

🧝 Ages 5–6: Halfway down The Strand and back
🧝‍♂️ Ages 7–8: Two-thirds of the way down The Strand and back
🧝‍♀️ Ages 9–10: Full length of The Strand and back
🧝‍♂️ Ages 11–13: Full length of The Strand and back

🎄 A Big Thank You! 🎄

A huge THANK YOU to all the clubs, societies and groups who attended our presentation on Wednesday night on the Saundersfoot Rotary Grand Community Christmas Draw.

It was fantastic to see so many local organisations showing an interest in what promises to be a wonderful community fundraising initiative.
