What a Mer-mazing afternoon at a local school fair has been had with Mermaids For Mental Health

We've had fun lucky dipping, meeting mermaid Pearl, and hooking ducks!

The taboo around child su***de has been broken a little more and funds have been raised for PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de Survivors of Bereavement by Su***de - SOBS and www.jensacorn.org.uk

Exciting times, prepererations of the scenery for this year's events are beginning, the 1st of the year beginning with a closed event at a local school summer fair in 10 days!

I've been a bit quite over the winter. However spring is tentivly starting to peak through so its nearly mermaid season again!

We had an epic summer 2025 and I plan similar for this year - but staying local to home as much of the money raised went on expenses even though i tried to claim minimal 🥺.

So look out for us in the South East for day events where we'll be making appearances!

A year ago this idea came to reality to mark/celebrate Jens 21st birthday. Mermaids For Mental Health was born.

Over the last year I have met sone amazing people a ross the UK, raised alot of awareness that there's support out there, have started break the silence around suicde and raised over £1000 to be shared between PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de Survivors of Bereavement by Su***de - SOBS and Jens Acorn

This journey will carry on but closer to home as I've realised that mermaids are accepted inland as well as by the sea! (And will cost less in travel and accommodation so more money for the charities)
