Less than two weeks to go!

On Saturday 12 September, acclaimed Italian pianist and composer Olivia Belli joins us at St Endellion for an intimate solo concert, one of only four UK dates on her current tour.

You may already have encountered Olivia’s music through Apple Music’s Piano Chill or Spotify’s EQUAL: Classical playlists. Her latest album, Daimon, takes inspiration from Homer’s Odyssey, transforming its story of journey, struggle and homecoming into beautiful contemporary piano music.

Expect an intimate evening of atmospheric music that feels both classical and cinematic. If you enjoy beautiful piano music, atmospheric film scores or simply switching off and becoming lost in music, this concert is for you.

Just two days after making her Southbank Centre debut in London, acclaimed Italian pianist and composer Olivia Belli comes to St Endellion Church.

Signed to Sony Classical and commissioned by the BBC Proms, Olivia is one of the most streamed Italian women artists of all time. Her beautiful, atmospheric music is inspired by nature, literature and spirituality.

SUPPORT ANNOUNCEMENT: WOODKERN

We’re delighted to announce that Woodkern Music will be supporting Angeline Morrison at Endelienta Arts on Friday 25th September!

And what a year it’s been for this brilliant young band. Hot on the heels of a summer packed with standout performances, including The Fisherman’s Friends Festival, Wheal Martyn, Sidmouth Folk Festival and Trowbridge Festival. Woodkern will be bringing their powerful contemporary folk sound to North Cornwall.

WOODKERN

A seven-piece, youth-led contemporary folk group from across Cornwall and Devon, Woodkern weave traditional music and song (Cornish, Irish, English and beyond) with original material to create a powerful and distinctive sound.

In times gone by, Woodkerns were messengers and guardians who knew their land deeply; a name that perfectly reflects this unique ensemble, whose music is rooted in who they are, where they come from, and the traditions they’re carrying forward.

We can’t wait to welcome them to Endelienta Arts for what promises to be a very special evening supporting the wonderful Angeline Morrison.

If you’ve been meaning to catch Woodkern after hearing about their incredible summer, this is your chance!

Grab your tickets now and join us for a fantastic evening of live folk music.

Applications for the 2026 Kernewek Creative Residency are now closed!

We were completely overwhelmed by the response, receiving over 40 applications for just four places. The standard was incredibly high, and it was brilliant to see so much interest in exploring how Kernewek can be used creatively.

We’re looking forward to announcing this year’s residency artists over the coming weeks. In the meantime, there’s lots happening with some of our previous residency artists...

Matthew Thomason Composer will premiere Arlodhes a Shalotte in London on 16 September as part of the Tête à Tête Opera Festival at the Cockpit Theatre.

Keslowena to Anna Anise and Elizabeth Freeborn Sound, who have both passed their Grade One Cornish exams! Anna will also launch Aneth, her debut bilingual Cornish/English album, at Lowender on Thursday 15 October.

Sarah Dickenson has been developing the play she began during last year’s residency, exploring the story of Thomasina Bonaventure and the Cornish rebellion of 1497. The latest work-in-progress reading took place at Shakespeare’s Globe in London.

Will Keating will be one of 21 people recognised by Gorsedh Kernow in Bodmin on 5 September for his contribution to the promotion of Kernow through music. Hireth, featuring three previous residency artists – Matthew Thomason, Anna Anise and Daniel Woodfield– will also be performing as part of the Esedhvos Kernow Festival of Cornish Culture.

We love seeing where the creative relationships with Kernewek that develop through the residency can lead.

A huge meur ras to everyone who applied for this year’s residency. We can’t wait to share more soon!

“Two of Britain’s most exciting folk musicians” – The Guardian

Wonderful to see Angeline Morrison receiving such acclaim for Donn/Dubh (Brown/Black), her new collaborative album with Arun Sood – named The Guardian’s Folk Album of the Month.

And we’re incredibly lucky to be welcoming Angeline to St Endellion next month.

Her concert with us on 25 September is a chance to experience Angeline’s extraordinary solo work live, including the storytelling and songwriting behind *The Sorrow Songs: Folk Songs of Black British Experience*, which was named The Guardian’s Folk Album of the Year in 2022.

Theatre: Tristan & Isolde / Recalling Fire
Friday 13 November
7:30 pm
St Endellion Church

The lights are low. The seas are high. Join mythologist and storyteller Sam Crosby, the man who brought you: ‘King Arthur, Loyalty, lunacy and lust”, in the ancient story of Tristan and Isolde. The tragedy so deep it obsessed medieval Europe and inspired Shakespeare to write Romeo and Juliet.

In true Recalling Fire style, it’s not a ‘show’ but a participatory act. The storytelling, heavily improvisational and raw, is punctuated with moments of facilitated discussion so that those present can share something of how the ancient scenes are touching on their adult life experience.
