WHAT A DAY! Kernow LodgeFest 2026 was a roaring success! 🎉🎪🍻
Truly a proud day for the Lodge, and the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cornwall. We are utterly blown away by the support from everyone who came along, welcoming 238 people through the gates throughout the day - far beyond what we ever expected!
🏆 Huge Congratulations & Highlights:
🔹The Barrow of Booze: Massive well done to Andrew Teague for winning the Barrow of Booze! A huge thanks to Harry Bazeley for organising it - by the end of the day, that barrow was properly full and a real job to push! The ultimate irony? The one man asking for tap water at the bar ends up taking home nearly £300 worth of w**e, b**r, and spirits!
🔹The Live Auction: A massive thank you to Shane Solomon for running our auction! It was a huge success with over 24 fantastic lots, including a legendary Victoria Sponge baked by Albert Sanders that fetched an incredible £70!
🔹Food & Publicity: Thank you again to Shane for all his hard work with publicity before and after the event, and a huge thank you to Tony Goodman for his glowing food review!
🙌 Massive Shoutouts & Thank Yous:
🔹The Food: Terry Simmonds, Susie Simmonds, Grant Nicholson, and Nikita for their absolute mammoth effort with the catering - it worked brilliantly and kept everyone fueled all day!
🔹The Bar: Nick Bennett for organising and running the bar, along with his fantastic array of staff throughout the day (too many to name, but you're all amazing!).
🔹Kids & Family Fun: Ben Jenkins for loaning us his Helter Skelter, which went down an absolute storm with the kids (and big kids!).
🔹Safety & Security: Our security team from Coast2Coast Security, who were superb from start to finish and kept everything running safely and smoothly.
🔹Seating & Transport: Walter Bailey Par Ltd have been brilliant, loaning us the straw and benches, as well as getting them to us so quickly, which made a fantastic addition to the seating arrangements!
🔹The Music: To all of our incredible bands who kept the crowd dancing all day long, Newquay Rowing Club Singers, The Off Shoots, Spit Roast, Jailhouse - a massive thank you to Jailhouse for allowing us to use their PA System all day!)

Because this was our very first year, we are keen to learn, grow, and build on this success. Plans and discussions are already underway for next year to come back even bigger and better!
