At Rugby Foodbank, we understand that when people are struggling, it’s not just about feeding yourself or your family - pets are family too.

For many people, the thought of not being able to feed a beloved dog or cat adds even more worry during difficult times. That’s why we also help support pets through donated pet food and treats.

If you’re able to help, we’re currently looking for donations of:

- Wet & dry cat food
- Wet & dry dog food
- Cat & dog treats

Every donation helps us care for the whole family - including the four-legged members. Thank you for your continued kindness and support.

We have come to know Doreen. She has been a frequent visitor. She panicked when she received a council tax bill and took out a loan to pay it off. Now she’s paying back a loan with interest. Her rent has gone up. She only has her pension to live on and she has fallen behind with her rent and utility bills. She told us she "robs Peter to pay Paul" each month, trying to stretch her pension to cover rising costs. Her ex-husband left her with nothing financially, and the abuse she endured included him breaking her nose. Doreen was coping by finding left over food thrown away in bins. We have given her some dignity with a food parcel.

There are people like Doreen in our community who are facing impossible choices every single day. Your donations mean we can offer not just food, but hope, compassion and dignity when people need it most. If you are able to give, please consider donating today. Together, we can make sure no one in Rugby has to face hunger alone.

Small donations really do make a big difference!

What if every day of the week was linked to one simple item for Rugby Foodbank? A tin on Tuesday. Pasta on Thursday. Cereal on Saturday.
The new “Days of the Week Giving” idea makes supporting local families easy, affordable and part of your regular routine. Small donations added consistently throughout the year can have a huge impact on people facing hardship in our community.

Whether you're an individual, family, workplace, church or community group, why not get involved and make giving a habit?

This powerful article highlights a reality many people don't see: food banks are increasingly being used by people who are working full-time but still struggling to make ends meet.

As one volunteer quoted in the article says, there is "no fixed background" to the people seeking support. Rising living costs mean that anyone can find themselves needing a helping hand. Demand for food support continues to grow across the UK, with many community food projects reporting significant increases in the number of people they serve.

At Rugby Foodbank, we see this reality in our own community. Every donation, referral, volunteer hour and act of support helps ensure that local people facing difficult circumstances can access emergency food and practical help when they need it most.
