Four years ago, I started this page after being badgered by a very dear friend who backed this all originally Richard Overson 🫡 thank you x and to The Rugby Workers Club for the backing and support it would never have gone anywhere and simply because of a love for Coventry City. I never imagined how many people it would bring together, or how much this community would come to mean to me.
And what a four years it has been.
But really, what a journey the last eight years have been for all of us as Sky Blues fans.
We’ve seen this club go from the darkness of League Two to walking out under the Wembley arch again and again. We’ve seen relegation battles, promotions, playoff drama, cup runs, empty grounds, shared grounds, St Andrew’s, and finally the long-awaited return home. Under Mark Robins, Coventry City went from a club many had written off to one that made supporters believe again. He helped take us from League Two back to the Championship, to a playoff final one kick away from the Premier League, and to an unforgettable FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
We’ve lived through moments none of us will ever forget:
* The rise from League Two
* The nights at St Andrew’s when supporters still travelled and sang their hearts out
* The return to Coventry
* The playoff final heartbreak against Luton
* The unbelievable comeback against Manchester United at Wembley we won that game, never offside.
* Those last-minute winners that made us lose our minds
* And most importantly, the feeling that this football club was ours again.
Through all of it, the constant has been the supporters.
That’s why this page has meant so much to me. Yes, it’s about Coventry City — but more than that, it’s about the people. The conversations after games. The shared nerves. The laughs, the debates, the away day photos, the memories, the friendships. Watching complete strangers become a community because of a shared love for the Sky Blues has honestly been the best part of all of this.
Football can be heartbreaking, stressful, and emotional beyond words… but it also brings people together in a way nothing else really can.
So as this page reaches its fourth anniversary, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who’s liked a post, commented, shared memories, travelled home and away, or simply been part of this brilliant community. Whether you’ve been here from the start or joined yesterday, you’ve helped make this page what it is.
We’ve been through one hell of a journey together already… and somehow it still feels like this story is only just getting started.
