We are the 24th Rotherham (Wickersley) Scout Group. We are based at Wickersley Methodist Church. We have sections for everyone age 6-14. Our Beaver Colony meet on a Thursday 6-7 (Age 6-8). Our Cub Pack meet on a Friday 6.15-7.30 (Age 8-10). Our Scout Troops meet on both nights:
Red Troop - Thursday 7.15-8.30, Blue Troop 7.45 - 9.00. We offer an opportunity to learn skills for life, make new friends and have fun. Follow the page to find our more about our Scouting family at Wickersley.

A small group of our younger sections set off on an adventure this morning to Fun Camp for the day. Activities included climbing, navigating a cave bus, a sledge run and firing crossbows. There was also cake, dancing and fun fair rides as part of the Scouting birthday celebrations.

⚜️Volunteer Opportunity: Group Treasurer
Wickersley Scout Group ⚜️

Wickersley Scout Group is looking for a Volunteer Group Treasurer to support our local Scouting community.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll help manage the group’s finances, ensuring funds are well looked after so we can continue delivering fun, safe, and meaningful activities for young people in the area.

What’s involved:
•Overseeing the Group’s finances and accounts
•Working with the leadership team to support budgets and spending
•Attending around 6 meetings per year
•Helping a friendly, well-established community group thrive

About you:
•Comfortable with basic financial management - no formal accountancy qualifications are needed. Training and support for the role is provided by The Scout Association.
•Organised and reliable
•Happy to volunteer a small amount of time to make a big difference

This is a volunteer role with flexible time commitment and plenty of support — perfect for someone who wants to give back to the local community.

We are really proud of some of our young people today. They took part in the Roots Carnival Parade. The wind changed the plans slightly but they all were amazing. Really showcased our Scouting values and represented the Group with pride. ⚜️
