Today wasn’t about results, league tables or trophies.
It was about the lads. 💙

After 8 years together, today we celebrated the end of our journey at Rotherham Town with a full day of paintballing. One last day together as a group, laughing, competing and making memories the same way we always have.

This team has given me some of the best memories I could ask for as a coach. Promotions, cup wins and unforgettable moments along the way — but more important than any trophy has been watching these lads grow up together.

Next season I’ll be moving on to a new club and unfortunately, because of location and different pathways, not all of the lads can come with us. That’s the hardest part.

But I genuinely hope the friendships built over these last 8 years stay with them for life, because what this group had was special. From being little kids running around at U6/U7 to young men now — it’s been a privilege to be part of the journey.

Thank you to every player, parent and coach who has been part of it along the way.
I couldn’t be prouder of this group.

DSC 0–9 Rotherham Town U13s

A strong performance from the lads today in difficult conditions 👏

With the pitch making it tough to play our normal game, the message before kick-off was about discipline, shape, and exploiting the space in behind — and once we settled into the game properly, the boys carried that out really well 💪

Hudson was on fire in the first half with a hat-trick, Tommy added another, Manny grabbed himself 3 goals as he continues his push towards the 50-goal mark for the season 👏⚽ and Raman also got himself on the scoresheet to cap off another positive team display 🔥

Special mention to Noah, who made some big saves early on and earned himself Man of the Match 👏🧤

Proud of the way the lads adapted to the conditions and stayed focused on the job. One more massive game to go in the push for promotion 👊🔵⚪

What a night at our End of Season Presentation! 🏆💙

I genuinely couldn’t be prouder of this group of lads. They’ve been absolutely outstanding all season — back-to-back cup winners and still pushing hard for promotion. The attitude, effort and togetherness they’ve shown has been brilliant from start to finish.

Not only are they a talented group, they’re a fantastic bunch of lads to coach and be around every week. Nights like this remind you why grassroots football is so special.

A massive well done to our award winners:
🏅 Players’ Player – Owen
An immense season in midfield. His work rate, intelligence and consistency have been top class all year and fully deserved recognition from his teammates.

🏅 Parents’ Player – Jacob
After getting back to his very best this season, Jacob has been outstanding in the centre of defence. Strong, reliable and a real leader at the back.

🏅 Manager’s Player – Lucien
His best season yet playing in the CDM role. Breaking up transitions, protecting the defence and starting attacks time and time again. A huge season and thoroughly deserved.

Thank you to all the parents for the continued support all season and to everyone involved with the team.

Rotherham Town U13s 7–2 Mosborough

A solid performance to sign off our final home game of the season 👏

Credit to Mosborough first — turning up with 9 players and giving absolutely everything. Huge respect for the effort they showed from start to finish 💪

For us, the message was simple: find space and attack it — and the lads did that well throughout the game. We created plenty of chances, used the wide areas effectively, and showed some really positive attacking play ⚽

👏 Man of the Match: Raman
Really stepped it up today — a constant goal threat and starting to link play much better with his teammates. A top performance 👊

Plenty to keep building on as we head into the final few games of the season… the push isn’t over yet 🔵⚪

🔥 What a night for Rotherham Town U13s! 🔥

We’ve just beaten top-of-the-table City of Sheffield 6–1 in style! Tommy was on fire with a hat-trick, Manny bagged two, and Raman added another! Assists came from Tommy, Noah, Lucien, and Raman—teamwork at its finest.

From minute one, we were in control, playing our game model to perfection—wide play, smart decisions, and pure attacking intent. We’re on a mission now—promotion is in sight! Back-to-back cup winners and now pushing hard in the league—this is what we’re about! 💪⚽

Man of the Match: Cooper—solid at the back and leading by example.

Today our cup run came to end! with a final played at thorncliffe against a brillaint FC Messy's team who we have played twice already this season.

With a game in which the lads showed there ability to play football both in and out of posession and created some good chances.

It was a great game for the neutral with both teams trying to win, but the end the lads have gone and won two cup's on the bounce retaining thier cup.

An amazing achievement that I couldnt be prouder of watching this team week in and week out

A really strong performance from the lads today 💪

We showed real attacking quality throughout, creating chances in a variety of ways and taking them well when it mattered. Great to see us using the wide areas effectively, getting balls into the box, and mixing that with moments of quality through the middle 👏

Goals came from across the team with Manny grabbing a hat-trick, Lucien rising highest for a header from a corner, and Hudson getting himself on the scoresheet ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

👏 Man of the Match: Hudson
Played in multiple positions today, led the team as captain, and did everything that was asked of him. A real selfless performance with quality to match 👊

FT: Rotherham Town 3 – 4 MKM

Tough one today.

We knew this would be a battle, and it proved exactly that. With no subs and a few key players missing, the lads had to dig deep against a strong MKM side — and to be fair to them, they did just that.

Game was a bit of a scrap at times, not much control in midfield from either side, but we stayed in it right until the end. Raman grabbing two directly from corners kept us right in the fight 👏

Plenty to work on, but massive credit to the boys for their effort and resilience with the situation we were in 💙

Man of the Match – Aaron
Stepped into a new role at left back and dealt with everything thrown at him, especially being exposed at times. Proper performance and fully deserved 👏

Well that's 2024 that's come to an end.

This time next year we will be playing 11v11 and half way through a season, it's strange how time flies.

We ended the year with a final training session being our Christmas party 💙 we saw some old friends at city of Sheffield and let the lads run riot racking up the points.

We wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year 💙 see you on the other side.
