🌟Exciting News: New Holiday Club Provision🌟

We’re really pleased to share that Inspired Play (More Fun) are looking to create much-needed SEN holiday club provision for young people aged 4-16 years, and they’ll be delivering sessions from our SEND Hub at Eric Manns House (please note this is not delivered by RPFL).

We know how limited SEN holiday provision can be locally, so we are delighted to be working in partnership to help support families in our community.

Come and meet the Insprie Play team!
Inspired Play will be joining us at our Thursday meet-up this week, where they’ll be available to chat, answer questions, and get to know families ahead of their upcoming sessions.

🎉 Holiday Club Taster Session 🎉
A fun, supportive day designed especially for young people with SEN, a great way to get to know the team and see if your young person would enjoy the provision:

🗓 Saturday 27th June
⏰ 10:00am – 2:00pm
📍 Eric Manns Building

✨ Activities include:
Sensory play, games, arts & crafts, creative gaming, physical activities, LEGO, baking & a dedicated sensory/regulation room.

⚠️ Spaces are limited to ensure a safe and supportive environment – booking is essential.

How to Secure Your Child’s Spot for the taster session:

2. Enrolment Check: Once you've registered, our team will review your information and
update your account status to "Enrolled." (We do this to ensure we have all the right

📩 If you can’t make Thursday, don’t worry – a virtual information session will be arranged soon. Alternatively, you can contact Inspired Play directly (details on the poster).

Please note this is not an RPFL activity; therefore, all enquiries will need to go through Annie and Sarah at Inspired Play, NOT Rotherham Parent Carers Forum.

🌟 Celebrating Z & O! Well done 😁🌟

We were so proud of Z and O on Wednesday at our SEND After SRotherham United Community Trustith Rotherham United Community Trust — their biscuit decorating was brilliant and they showed such creativity and confidence 💛🍪

And a huge well done to everyone who joined in — you all made the session such a lovely, positive afternoon.

Today we celebrated Catherine’s “big” birthday a little early at the SEND Hub, as she’ll be away next week when her actual birthday arrives! 🎉

Catherine has been part of the Forum since the early days and has supported so many families throughout her time with us. Her knowledge, kindness, and hugs have made a real difference to so many over the years.

We’re sure many of you will join us in wishing Catherine a very happy and special birthday for next week. We hope you have a wonderful celebration, Catherine you deserve it!

We’ve listened to you; here’s what’s coming next!

Following your feedback, we know many of you would like more opportunities to access support for your children and young people. That’s why we’re excited to share that Rotherham SENDIASS will be joining our Monday Meet-Up next week and then monthly from September onwards.

What’s happening?
SENDIASS will be offering FREE 20-minute private appointments to provide impartial information, advice and support around your child’s education.
Whether you have questions about:
✔️ Reasonable adjustments in school
✔️ SEN support available
✔️ Navigating education, health and care needs
…their team will be there to help guide you.
⏳ Appointments are first-come, first-served
🔒 Held in a private space for your comfort
☕ While you’re waiting (or if you just want to pop in), you’re warmly invited to stay, enjoy a cuppa, and connect with other parent carers in a friendly, supportive environment.

💙 We’re committed to making sure your voice is heard and that you can access the support you need.
