Another busy evening with almost 50 friends fed with food from Greggs , Boundary Mills, Marks and Spencer. A special thank you to Avril Wigglesworth and Jane from Rotherham Evangelical Church who brought some packs of essentials for men and women, including sleeping bags and rucksacks, which were really appreciated.

Personal Development Groups for Young People (Ages 11–18)
Funded by Smiles for Miles • Delivered by Rush House.

We’re excited to announce that our new round of Personal Development Groups for young people aged 11–18 is now open!
We run two groups:
✨ One for girls
✨ One for boys

Each group runs for 6 weeks, packed with activities, discussions, games and AQA‑accredited units, all designed to help young people build the confidence and life skills they deserve. On Week 7, we bring everyone back together for a fun celebration session to recognise achievements.

What do the sessions cover?
Each week explores topics that matter to young people, including:
✔️ Confidence and self‑esteem
✔️ Resilience and bouncing back
✔️ Mental health awareness
✔️ Coping strategies for stress & low mood
✔️ Building positive relationships
✔️ Understanding emotions
✔️ Goal‑setting and motivation

For Professionals
If you're a teacher, youth worker, social worker or run community sessions and would like Rush House to facilitate a Personal Development Group for the young people you support, we can do that too! We offer tailored groups for schools, alternative provision, youth organisations and support services across Rotherham.

We were delighted to welcome Ellie from KCM Waste Management recently to talk about future fundraising ideas and meaningful work opportunities for the people we support. It’s always inspiring to come together as a community and explore how we can create real, lasting impact.

We’re proud to have voted for KCM in the Yorkshire Choice Awards. Thank you, Ellie, for your time, your passion, and your commitment to making a difference.
