Broadloan Gardens is a vibrant community-led organisation based in Renfrew, dedicated to creating accessible green spaces where people of all backgrounds can grow food, connect with nature, and learn sustainable practices. We manage a community garden complete with raised beds, polytunnels, compost systems, and tool libraries—supporting organic growing, biodiversity, and low‑impact living. Through

partnerships, volunteers, and outreach, we offer workshops in seed saving, organic horticulture, seasonal cooking, as well as seasonal events that foster wellbeing, creativity, and social inclusion. Our core mission is to strengthen community cohesion by providing a welcoming, hands-on environment where local people of all ages and abilities can develop skills, share resources, and build meaningful relationships—while contributing positively to the environment.

We've got some lovely fresh produce available today:

🥬 Crisp, delicious lettuce
🌺 Ruby-red rhubarb
🥬 Earthy Russian kale

And our first wee punnet of strawberries 🍓

We're also selling plenty of healthy indoor tomato plants, ready for their new homes! 🍅

Plus a selection of bedding plants, perennials and vegetable plants, including:

We have fresh lettuce, kale and rhubarb ready to be picked today. 🌱

Pop into Broadloan Gardens and ask a member of staff or one of our volunteers to pick you some fresh produce straight from the garden.

Locally grown, freshly picked and available to everyone in our community.

We're open until 4:30pm today and have lots of beautiful plants looking for new homes – perfect for getting out into the garden this weekend.

Many of these plants have been lovingly grown and cared for by our volunteers and members, whose hard work helps keep our garden thriving. 💚
