A massive THANK YOU 🙌 to everyone who supported mine and Skye’s Kiltwalk! 🏴✨

We smashed 23 miles 🚶‍♂️🐾 in around 5.5 hours ⏱️ — what an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was amazing 🎉 with thousands of people (and plenty of dogs 🐶) all coming together to raise tens of thousands of pounds for charities across Scotland 💙

Skye and I are so proud to have raised £575.00 💷 for our local Renfrew charity, Brightest Star 🌟

This Sunday 26th April, David and his loyal dog Skye 🐕 are taking on the Glasgow Kiltwalk 🚶‍♂️🏴 to support an amazing local cause! We’re walking with Renfrew Rotary to raise funds for the incredible charity “Brightest Star,” which supports families through the toughest of times 💛✨

Every step we take is for them and we’d love your support! 🙌 If you can, please consider donating via my JustGiving page. No matter how small, every contribution makes a real difference 💷🙏

Skye’s already excited for the journey (and probably the snacks 🦴😄), and I’m proud to be part of something so meaningful.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support—it truly means everything 💫

SUPERB SPEAKERS! Adam is Head of Education at Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian. Before taking on this role in 2018, he worked as an animal keeper and was heavily involved in international wildlife research projects.
Five Sisters Zoo is a privately owned zoological park located in Polbeth, West Calder. Its mission is to change public behaviour and attitudes towards the natural world in order to help tackle the global biodiversity crisis. This is a significant challenge, but through its animal ambassadors, the zoo’s 200,000+ annual visitors are able to learn about and engage with some of the world’s most threatened species. Animal rescue is a core focus of the facility, and the zoo is particularly well known for its work with rescued bears.
The zoo’s expansion has been supported by local donations and major fundraising campaigns, including a £150,000 appeal in 2015 to build a habitat for four male lions rescued from a circus, and more recently the rescue of two lionesses from Ukraine. In 2024, the zoo was named ‘Best Family Day Out’ at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards.
