The club members enjoyed a golf chipping target session after lunch recently - there were some higher scores and lots of low ones!
But everyone had a laugh and enjoyed themselves particularly when they hit the organising volunteers on the ankles when they went very off target. Practice will hopefully make perfect next time!

Ralston Seniors Club welcomed another new member, a few weeks ago, Jim to join our growing group of men who have integrated so well with our lady members.
After their soup and sandwich lunch the members were once again entertained by the Compass Band who had everyone singing along with their favourite songs in amongst their usual banter!

Ralston Seniors Club recently had a visit from Neil Bibby MSP who had heard great things about the new club and its members and volunteers. Neil initially saw first hand the members enjoying their chair zumba exercises lead so enthusiastically by Linda Kelly (LindaK Zumba ).

He then joined the members for their soup and sandwich lunch served by the volunteers and then gave a short address to thank everyone for their involvement in what was a valuable asset to the local elderly folk.

He then sat in on children from Ralston Primary School reading to the members extracts from their favourite stories and discussing why it meant so much to them with the Club members.

Neil noted that the new Club is so pleased to have fostered close links with both the local Primary and Nursery Schools and undertook to visit once again in the future.

Ralston Seniors Club recently had another visit from the children from Ralston Nursery. A great time was had by all as the children firstly entertained the members with their favourite songs.

The members then took part in a mini Olympics the children had arranged for them with lots of laughter as the members took part in a potato relay race and bean bag on the head passing race with some members having more success than others as you will see from the pictures!

The members were all presented with medals for taking part by the children and the volunteers were given a trophy before the children left for the nursery. There were cuddles all round as a lasting memory of the day until the children’s next visit.

The Club recently welcomed Local Vocals to entertain the members.
Though small in number they make up for it in the enthusiasm they always have to sing their hearts out in songs that the members can join in with heartily.
