❓ Where can I get a foodbank voucher or referral?

This is one of the questions we are asked most often.

Redcar Area Foodbank works with hundreds of registered referral agencies across Redcar and Cleveland. These include GP surgeries, schools, housing associations, libraries, council services, family hubs, Citizens Advice, community groups and a wide range of support organisations.

The poster below gives examples of the organisations that may be able to help.

The friendly advisers can offer confidential advice, check what financial support you may be entitled to and, where appropriate, arrange a foodbank referral.

📢 Important Redcar Area Foodbank Update

Please take note of the following changes to our foodbank opening times and locations:

🕛 St George’s Foodbank, Spencer Road, Normanby
This foodbank will now close at 12pm instead of 1pm. Please arrive in plenty of time.

❌ All Saints Foodbank, Dormanstown
Sadly, this foodbank has now closed with immediate effect.

We’re down at Majuba Beach getting ready for our big dip—and now we need YOU to join us!

🛒Did you know that each month we hold regular food collections within your local Asda Superstore at South Bank?

Our regular team of volunteers are usually in store the first Saturday of each month, chatting to customers and receiving their donations of food and other essentials, to help restock our warehouse.

After an amazing first year, the Redcar Area Foodbank Sea Dip is returning — and we’d love you to join us!

Take the plunge and help us raise vital funds to support local people in crisis through Redcar Area Foodbank.

Everyone is welcome — bring your friends, family, colleagues, or come along as part of a team. Fancy dress is very much encouraged! 🎭🌊

Thank you Asda and Tesco supermarket volunteers!💚

may have officially finished, but we're continuing to celebrate our volunteer teams over the next few days.

On Saturday, Rachel, our Volunteer Coordinator, visited our Asda (South Bank) volunteer team to deliver a certificate and biscuits. They are in store each month collecting donations for our Redcar Area Foodbank project. We also have ad-hoc food collections at local Tesco stores too.
