The Sherpa World App is an educational platform designed to help people learn about Sherpa families, culture, religion, traditions, and language. It serves as a valuable resource for preserving and promoting Sherpa heritage for future generations.

The app is promoted and distributed through the Global Sherpa Association, Sherpa Associations, and Sherpa Kidug organizations around the world.

अशफोर्ड, केन्ट शेर्पा मणि छोक्पा अध्यक्ष श्रीमती निमा डिकी शेर्पाका पति, नेपालको भोजपुर जन्मघर भई हाल धरानमा बसोबास गर्दै आउनुभएका आङदावा शेर्पाको ६० वर्षको उमेरमा हिजो भएको असामयिक निधनको दुःखद खबरले शेर्पा संघ, बेलायत परिवार अत्यन्त मर्माहत तथा स्तब्ध भएको छ।

Saga Dawa Begins From Today🌱🙏

The most important month in the Tibetan lunar calendar is Saga Dawa, the 4th lunar month, which runs from May 17, 2026, to June 15, 2026.
The 15th day of this lunar month, the full moon day is called Saga Dawa Düchen. In Tibetan, Düchen translates into “great occasion.💐🍃
Saga Dawa Düchen commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and Parinirvana of our perfect and most supreme teacher, Buddha Shakyamuni.🙏🙏

Saga Dawa is the month of merits, also called bumgyur Dawa, which means “merits multiplied by a hundred thousand times.” Tibetan Buddhists worldwide make extra efforts in practicing Dharma, generosity, and compassion to accumulate greater virtuous merits and purify our negative karmas. Along with remembering Buddha and his activities, the festival’s main point is to pray.🕊☮️

It is said by many that the goal of the festival season is to pray for the long life of all the holy Gurus of all traditions, for the survival and spreading of Buddha’s teachings in the minds of all sentient beings, and for world peace.
