Top tips for the heat! 😅

☀️ Hot weather can be tough for both mums-to-be and little ones, so we’ve put together some simple tips to help keep you and your baby safe, cool, and comfortable for the warmer months ahead 💛

💧 Stay hydrated
🧊 Keep your environment cool
👶 Dress babies in light, breathable clothing
☀️ Know the signs of dehydration and heat exhaustion
🌈 Follow safe sleep guidance in warmer weather

Breastfed babies DO NOT need extra water — it’s normal for them to feed more often in hot weather to stay hydrated. Your breastmilk will change to what baby needs!

Formula fed babies should continue their usual milk feeds. Formula should never be watered down or diluted. Please speak to your midwife or health visitor for further guidance and information on formula feeding in hot weather. https://www.nhs.uk/baby/first-aid-and-safety/safety/safety-in-the-sun/
