⚽️ Trudi Thorburn 10 Year Awards ⚽️

On Friday evening, we presented our 10 Year Awards to players from our 2011 Boys & Girls and 2012 Girls teams.

This year marked a special milestone, as it was the first time players from our Girls Section have received 10 Year Awards, highlighting just how far the section has come and how much it has grown over the past decade.

These awards held even greater significance as they were presented for the first time in memory of Trudi Thorburn, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Trudi was a huge part of our club and a driving force behind the development and success of our Girls Section. It was only fitting that the club recognised her incredible service by naming the 10 Year Award in her honour.

We were delighted to be joined by Trudi’s family for the evening, with her daughters and former Glenburn Girls players, Hannah and Keeley, presenting the awards to this year’s recipients.

Congratulations to all of our 10 Year Award recipients on their remarkable commitment and long service to Glenburn MWFC. 💙

⚽️ Glen Lawlor Recognition Award ⚽️

On Friday evening, we presented the Glen Lawlor Recognition Award for the third year running.

The award recognises a coach or volunteer who has shown exceptional dedication and made a significant contribution to the club.

This year’s winner was the one and only Michelle Clancy, who dedicates so much of her time to not one, but three teams!

Congratulations Michelle on a thoroughly deserved award. Your commitment, hard work and dedication to the club are truly appreciated by everyone. Thank you for everything you do for Glenburn.

⚽️ Presentation Day 2026 ⚽️

We had a great evening on Friday celebrating the successes and efforts of all our players and teams at our Annual Awards Evening.

Split across the two sessions our small sided players received their recognition trophies with our 11-a-side teams presenting their respective Player of the Year awards.

Many thanks to everyone for their attendance, it really is great to bring everyone together and see the hall packed with yellow and blue.

Special thanks to Eddie for the photographs and Lisa from our 2021s for the balloon arch and towers.

Our usual packed weekend lineup continues as usual, with Scott Russell (8pm - Close) on Friday & Campbell Sproat (6pm - 8pm) & Scott Nicol (8pm - 10pm) on Saturday before making way for our FIFA World Cup 2026 Event 🏆 ⚽️

🔴 ⚽️ 🔴 At 10pm the venue must be fully vacated (including event ticket holders) & doors will re-open at 10.15pm for the 'SOLD OUT' Scotland vs. Haiti opening match 🔴 ⚽️ 🔴

Please be aware;

- Doors open at 10pm ✅
- As the venue is at maximum capacity, there will be no reserved seating or tables ✅
- No Ticket sales at the door due to the event being sold out prior ✅
- Tickets must be made available to security staff for entry (no exceptions) ✅
- Premises must be vacated 30 minutes after the match final whistle ✅
- Only persons 18 or over are permitted due to South Ayrshire licensing ✅
