Wishing the team at Rowland Homes all the very best for their three peaks feat of endurance in the Lakes in aid of Emmaus Lancashire 🏔

We’re over-awed by the number of people taking part on June 19 from the home builders, which has headquarters in Leyland – 25 members of staff in total!

Huge thanks to everyone planning to take to the fells and the people who have donated so far.

Two of our residents, including Lewis, went to meet some of the team at Rowland Homes in Lancashire, with our CEO Stephen and Deputy Karen.

People who are part of our homelessness charity got together for a social event recently and went ten pin bowling 🎳👍

Teams were made up of residents from both Emmaus Lancashire's community homes in Preston and Burnley, with vouchers for the winners.

Our Ade got a little extra for scoring the most points out of everyone. Well done also to John, who chose to take part (with a little help on the lanes) after recovering from hand surgery.

Karen, our Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: “Everyone enjoyed it. We had a lot of fun and a laugh, with a bit of competition among ourselves. Social events like these are so important because they get our community together."

Emmaus Lancashire plans regular social activities. Next month is a treasure hunt!

Thank you to the Amazon Beavers at 10th Fulwood Scouts!

These lovely young people raised £170 and went shopping for treats, such as crisps, chocolate, tea and coffee, that they gift wrapped and donated to our homelessness charity with these lovely notes.

Karen, our Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: “These gifts and cards were amazing. Everyone loved the fact that someone is thinking about them. To have the little personal touches makes such a difference.”

Emmaus Lancashire is a charity empowering people to overcome homelessness. We provide the foundation of a home and a life-changing package of tailored support.

The Beavers’ cards and notes have been pinned up on the noticeboard at our community residential homes for our residents. Thank you 10th Fulwood!

Social media fans! 📲 Exciting volunteering opportunities are currently available!

Develop your skills in support of your local homelessness charity, Emmaus Lancashire.

We are looking for people who know their way around a phone camera and video to champion what we do at Emmaus Department Store at Fishergate Shopping Centre in Preston.

Volunteers will receive:
☑️Full induction when you start
☑️Support you throughout
☑️Opportunity to develop your skills and experience for a worthwhile cause
☑️Further training where possible
☑️Dinner and travel expenses on the days that you volunteer
