A huge thank you to John Glen MP for arranging this significant visit and for his steadfast support of our work.

Our goal is to see a localised version of Fresh Thoughts in every community in the UK.

I was very pleased to set up a meeting for Soroptimist Salisbury with Jess Phillips Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Safeguarding and Violence against Women and Girls to discuss and promote their Fresh Thoughts Booklet, an easily adaptable booklet designed to equip front-line workers with key localised support information for victims affected by Domestic Abuse. The booklet is being adopted by Soroptimists across the country and Salisbury Soroptimists met yesterday with the Minister to discuss support for the initiative and the development of an Easy Read version to ensure vital information is accessible to all, and the online platform which ensures that information is local and current https://www.freshthoughts.org.uk

What an incredible day for Fresh Thoughts!

Our team travelled to London today for a pivotal meeting with Jess Phillips the Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls.

We had the honour of presenting the Fresh Thoughts model to the Minister and discussed the importance of providing front-line workers, from police to housing officers, with an accurate roadmap they can place directly into a survivor’s hand.

Minister Phillips’ commitment to ending VAWG is clear, and we are energised to continue bridging the gap between Westminster policy and local community action!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far. Especially John Glen MP who arranged this special visit.

Here's Claire and Laura with the Salisbury Soroptimists AMAZING new booklet .

It's called Fresh Thoughts and it contains information on domestic abuse support in Wiltshire, including a brilliant guide on reporting crimes to the police and going to court.

Laura said " The people that we help, can understandably find the criminal justice system confusing and frightening. This booklet gives people the knowledge and information they need to help them be prepared and in control"
