Graig Trebanos Community Hub & Garden

Graig Trebanos Community Hub & Garden Welcome to the Graig Community Hub and garden in Trebanos, Swansea Valley.

The Graig Community Hub and garden is a new venture started in Autumn 2021 to transform the disused Graig Chapel Hall into a community hub for the benefit of the whole community and to create a Community Garden at the rear of the hall. The project is run by volunteers, coordinated by Gellionnen Chapel (which owns the Graig Chapel and Hall) and working with local residents, councillors, Ysgol Trebannws, and groups.

It's not all about the litter picking. My Green Valley has a social side too, and last Thursday some of our volunteers took time out to enjoy a curry night at the Tamarind Restaurant in Pontardawe.
We still managed to fit in 12 group and individual litter picks involving almost 35 volunteer hours in Alltwen, Clydach, Pontardawe, Rhydyfro, Trebanos, Ystalyfera and the Gwrhyd mountain road, collecting 25 bags of litter in total.

Nid casglu sbwriel yw’r cyfan. Mae gan Fy Nghwm Gwyrdd ochr gymdeithasol hefyd, a dydd Iau diwethaf cymerodd rhai o’n gwirfoddolwyr amser i fwynhau noson gyri ym Mwyty’r Tamarind ym Mhontardawe.
Fe wnaethon ni lwyddo i gynnal 12 casgliad sbwriel grŵp ac unigol, gan gynnwys bron i 35 awr o wirfoddoli yn Alltwen, Clydach, Pontardawe, Rhydyfro, Trebannws, Ystalyfera a ffordd fynydd Gwrhyd, gan gasglu 25 bag o sbwriel i gyd.
