A national celebration of the big impact small charities have in communities across the UK.
This Small Charity Week (22–29 June), Timebank South West is proud to be part of a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK.
This year’s campaign, Small charities. Big impact., shines a light on the difference small charities make every day, supporting people, strengthening communities and creating change where it matters most.
In Plymouth, small charities like ours play a crucial role in instilling value and purpose. Timebank helps reduce loneliness and isolation by helping to create connection, opportunity and support networks across the city.
As part of Small Charity Week, Timebank South West invites you to join us at a Social Exchange or our Glee Groups, bring a friend and help us to raise awareness of the impact of small charities and the communities they serve.
Small charities are where change really happens. They are rooted in their communities, responding quickly to local needs and providing support that fits real people and real places.
At a time when many communities are facing increasing pressure, their role has never been more important.
A spokesperson for Small Charity Week said:
“Small charities may be small in size, but they are BIG in impact.
They are creating change in communities every day, often quietly and without recognition. Small Charity Week is a moment to celebrate that impact and to stand behind the organisations making it happen.”
Small Charity Week is a moment to recognise and back the work of small charities across the UK.
