FOPAD Volunteers went out to the community on January 6, 2023 to continue to interact with people in the community to and create awareness around climate change and what we all need to do collectively as well as individually. They were able to share ideas and learn from some of the people they spoke with.
The message that is recurrent is that of increase local community recycling schemes, regular community sensitisation, cycling and walking. There is also use of public transportation instead of their personal cars and to fly less so that carbon footprints be reduced as everyone's contributions to reduction the emissions cars and planes cause to the environment. There is also eating less diary, reduction of the amount of food wasted or thrown away. Buying also local helps to protect the environment.
