PGA was founded in 1948. Our aim is to promote gardening and to assist members in improving their garden in all different manners.

We host monthly meetings, with guest speakers, please get in touch if you are interested in joining or attending a talk.

A friendly reminder of the big event coming up next week on Thursday 5th November at Harewood House (And no, I don't mean Bonfire Night!).

I'm talking about the Plympton Gardeners Association monthly meeting and talk!
This month we're talking everything Propergation with Saul Walker.

As always members and non-members are welcome, doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Tea & coffee available in the break, as well as our plant stall and monthly raffle, we hope to see you there!

Today is our last day hosting the Coffee Bar at Harewood House, so if you haven’t already pop along! We’ll be open from 10-2.

You can enjoy a hot drink, bite to eat, sweet or savoury and maybe spot an early Christmas present or something for yourself!

Join us this week at Harewood House for its weekly Coffee Bar!
We’ll be serving fresh sandwiches, as well as homemade bakes and goodies, with plenty of hot and cold drinks also.

We’d love to see you, so come on down and support us!
We will be hosting the Coffee Bar all week, starting today (12th) till Friday 16th October.

Join us tonight for our monthly meeting at Harewood House on Trewithen Plants by Gary Long.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
And a reminder to our members - don’t forget your onions!
Tonight is the onion competition weigh in, where we will find out who has grown the heaviest onion in all the land (or maybe just Plympton!)

Maybe you’re not a member, but intrigued to know more, then come along, our talks are welcome to all, £1 entry on door, with opportunities to buy raffle tickets as well as plant & soil sales.

With summer coming to close, our next monthly meeting is learning all about Incredible Vegetables with Mandy Barber!

Join us on Thursday 3rd September at Harewood House, 7pm for 7:30pm start, members and non-members welcome, £1 entry on the door.

Tea & Coffee included, with our monthly raffle draw and plant sales also, we'll see you there!

We'd like to thank everyone who attended, contributed and exhibited at this year's 77th Open Annual Show last Saturday!

It was a great turnout, even with the weather so far this year ☀️, our gardeners showed they truly have a green thumb!

And congratulations to all our stand out achievement winners this year:
Arthur Hext, Lydia Ross, Debbie Swain, Phil Warren, Tony Jope, Amanda Drake-Worth, Greg Hamley, Sophie Gray, Lorna Rogers, Hannah Gray & Ian Jenkins

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and to those who didn't exhibt, we hope something caught your eye to inspire an entry for next year!

Just a friendly reminder to get your show entry forms for our 77th Open Annual Show submitted in before 7:00pm Tomorrow (Wednesday 12th)!

We don't want you to miss out on entering something for the show, but if you haven't got an entry we'd still love to see you there at Harewood House on Saturday!

Did you know Dahlias are a tuberous perennials native to Mexico?
Well now you can bring a little bit of Mexico to Plympton for our next Annual Open Show on Saturday 15th August 2026.

With endless colour combination (except the elusive blue tones) we encourage members and non members to have a go at exhibiting their best and brightest Dahlias.

With classes looking for small, medium and large Dahlia blooms, don't be picky, pick them all!

This coming Thursday is our regular monthly meeting and we welcome Mark Wash from Trecanna Nursery. The nursery specialises in Crocosmia, Eucomis and Tulbaghia. HAREWOOD HOUSE @ 7.30. (Doors open at 7.00). Talk by Mark Wash.
