It’s four weeks since Steve left with our last load and the items you have donated continue to be distributed across Ukraine 🇺🇦🚛🇬🇧
Yesterday the football kits and goal nets donated by Penrith Football Club and Cumberland FA were collected from Благодійний фонд " Карна" Co"Cf" Carna" by a wonderful lady running a football team near Kherson. She’s hoping to support other teams locally so that they can play full games so if you have spare kits (maybe with last years sponsors on 🤔) please let us have them. It’s so important that the kids get to do normal activities during this terrible time. All sizes required! 🇺🇦⚽️🇬🇧
Thanks too to Beacon Fire Protection for the extinguishers no longer able to be used in the UK but essential in front line areas of Ukraine 🇺🇦🙏🇬🇧
For further details of items we are currently asking for please go to our website but if you have other items you think might be useful please call 07850 718699 to check. Thank you 🇺🇦🚑🇬🇧

These ladies have supported our work from the very beginning of the war and it is local groups like them that enable us continue to help the people of Ukraine. Thank you 🙏 🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧🙏

This morning Steve met with Oleksandr and the Nissan was handed over. It will now be operational south of Dnipro defending the skies above Ukraine from drone attacks.
As well as generators and fire extinguishers etc the car was packed with essentials like tea, coffee and chocolate! We wish the lads good luck and safety. 🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧

June 4th is the day Ukraine remembers the children killed by Russia since the invasion. These words posted by the Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov say it all ❤️🇺🇦❤️ How do the so called global leaders sleep at night 🇺🇦😔🇬🇧

https://t.me/ihor_terekhov/4067

“There are news stories you can never get used to. Never.

Every time I receive information that a child has died in an airstrike, I catch myself thinking: this child was meant to grow up.

They were meant to go to school. To argue with friends over some trivial matter and make up an hour later. They were meant to fall in love for the first time. To choose a profession. Someday to lead their own children by the hand to first grade. In short – they were meant to live.

Today we remember the Ukrainian children killed by Russian aggression.

And we think not only of them. We think of the parents who will never again hear footsteps in the next room. Who will never help with homework. Who will never wait for a phone call saying: "I'm home."

There is a pain that a person should never get used to. And the death of a child is exactly that kind of pain.

Therefore, the memory of every child is not just grief; it is our responsibility. The responsibility to do everything possible so that true peace returns to Ukraine. So that Ukrainian children never again fall asleep to the sounds of explosions. So that they can go to school, make plans, laugh, and play. So that they can simply be children. And live.

Eternal memory to every child whose life was taken by this war.”
