We are voluteers based at The Pot Place Garden Centre nr Penrith, Cumbria. We raise funds to purchase and equip emergancy vehicles and deliver them to Ukraine.

We are also a collection point for donated humanitarian aid that we then transport to Ukraine.

Day 4 update: after two further uneventful days on the motorways, Anya, Laura and Tommy (that’s the van names not us!) are now in Przemysl ready to meet up with Steve and the Благодійний фонд " Карна" Co"Cf" Carna" team tomorrow in Lviv 🇺🇦 for handover 🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧. Fingers crossed for a smooth border crossing 🤞

Day 2 update: 607km completed and stopped just west of Berlin. All vehicles running well (probably shouldn’t say that 😏) but the amount of road work delays in Germany really slows you up!
Diesel price on autobahn €2.66 per ltr so could only afford one stop at the golden ‘M’ today 😋.
The ambulance ‘Laura’ donated by Archie of Alliance Ambulance Services is being donated to the rehabilitation centre that Yulia visited in Vinnitsya a couple of weeks ago. She’s taking it straight there on her way back to Odesa so by early next week it will be assisting in the transfer of injured military personnel. Its an honour to be associated with the amazing work they do there 🇺🇦🚑🇬🇧

Great to see Anya and her family again today when she called in to put her name on the ambulance she helped to fund. Amazing young lady and one of our greatest supporters 🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧

🇺🇦 Started the pack up of vehicles for next weeks journey today. We leave on Tuesday. This ambulance is going to a provincial hospital to assist with their massively increased workload and the Land Cruiser is being donated to a front line evacuation/ trauma surgeon Vadim who lost his van to a drone attack two weeks ago 🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧 but there are still some items we need to send him. If you can get hold of NEW items from this short list by next Monday please 🙏 get in touch or bring them to The Pot Place Garden Centre

🇺🇦 Fantastic end to this week as donated Xmas Shoe Box Gifts start to come in! With the deadline being Nov 15th you still have a month to bring yours but it would be great if we could have them asap so we can start to get packed ready for Steve’s collection at the end of November 🇺🇦🎄🇬🇧
On Thursday we collected yet more specialist wheelchairs and equipment from Anthony at Independence Mobility in Leeds. The items they donate are so well received by the dedicated carers of many children with severe disabilities all over Ukraine 🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧
And today our long time friends at The Rotary Club of Appleby held one of their regular collections of essential items for Ukraine which included two new generators and many boxes of food, household items and children’s clothing 🇺🇦🙏🇬🇧 Along with the aid came generous donations towards our fund for school generators given by many northern Rotary Clubs but coordinated by Bill and the amazing team at Appleby Rotary. Thank you for your hard work and support 🇺🇦🚑🇬🇧

🇺🇦 In exactly two weeks time we’ll be setting of again for Ukraine. We’ll be driving these three vehicles, two ambulances and a 4wd Land Cruiser.
This is a final request for anyone with ‘in date’ medical items or equipment such as wheelchairs or mobility scooters to donate please bring them to The Pot Place Garden Centre as soon as possible 🇺🇦🙏🇬🇧 Plus if you can offer us any contribution towards the ever increasing cost of fuel to get them there we would be extremely grateful. Some great feedback from one of the hospitals that received sanitiser donated by Wax Lyrical and wheelchairs from our supporters at Cumbria Aid Ukraine plus some pictures of recent donations brought to The Pot Place Garden Centre for us to take when we next go in two weeks time 🇺🇦🚑🇬🇧
We also enjoyed a good night with the Caldbeck Young Farmers who are supporting us with Xmas Shoe Box gifts this year 🎄
We are still looking for funding for fuel for our imminent trip when we have 2 ambulances 🚑🚑 and a 4wd car 🚙 to take. Recent fuel price increases have made these vital journeys even more expensive. Please refer to our website for funding options 🇺🇦🙏🇬🇧 Thank you!

🇺🇦 Update 🇬🇧 since Steve left with the full load of sanitiser two weeks ago we’ve continued to receive great feedback and donations 🙏
The JCB sold quickly to Alex Ball and John from Manchester. No negotiations, they could see the work we do and gave us what we were hoping for, no questions. Great support from them and interesting contacts for the future! 🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧
We’ve also had some great pictures from the lads who received footballs and kit from Penrith Football Club and more have been donated from Northbank in Carlisle. If you don’t have a use for last years kits due to sponsorship changes please let us have them 🇺🇦⚽️🇬🇧 As we’ve said many times, these small gestures help to keep life as normal as possible for kids whilst under constant threat from the war 🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧
Next our attention turns to the three vehicles we’re hoping to take out to Ukraine at the end of October. Preparations are under way but funds are tight due to ever increasing fuel costs. If you can help please donate via the details on our website. Thank you 🇺🇦🚑🇬🇧
