Our second relief delivery has reached three schools of Kalika Rural municipality Rasuwa, bringing much needed support to children, families and schools.

Thanks to your generous donations, the delivery included individual support packs for families and children along with school supplies, learning and sports materials and essential food items.

It is heartwarming to know that the support you helped make possible is now in the hands of the communities who need it.

And there is still more to come.

We are now listening to the schools and communities to understand what they need most. With the funds raised so far, we are preparing for two more truckloads of relief supplies, with the next delivery planned within the coming weeks.

Finally, our second relief delivery is on its way to Rasuwa.

With the generous support of our donors, volunteers and KE Adventure Travel, another truck has left Kathmandu carrying essential supplies for three schools and around 650 students affected by the recent floods as updated on our last post.

Alongside the school supplies, we have prepared 100 individual relief packs with essential household and personal items, including induction stoves, for some of the families most affected.

The journey north will take around 2–3 days through challenging road conditions but every mile brings this support closer to the communities who need it.

Our second phase of flood relief is slowly coming together
We are currently preparing support for three schools of Kalika Rural municipality in Rasuwa, reaching around 650 students.
1) Shree Sundhara Secondary School, Dharapani
2) Shree Setibhumee SecondarySchool, Ramche
3) Shree Grang basic community school, Grang

More than 100 of these children have also lost a family member in the floods making this support especially close to our hearts.

Our volunteers have already started gathering essential food, hygiene and everyday supplies, while school stationery and educational materials are on their way.

We are also putting together individual school bags for 100+ affected students, filled with essentials such as toiletries, water bottles, soap, small toys and play materials, a little practical support, and hopefully a little comfort too. ❤️
Once everything arrives, we will sort, pack and label the supplies according to each school’s needs before they make their way to Rasuwa.

After a challenging 48-hour journey from Kathmandu, our truck carrying emergency supplies has reached Uttargaya Gaupalika, Bogatitar, Rasuwa.

With the support of local government representatives, we were able to meet families who are currently staying with relatives or in temporary accommodation, listen to their immediate needs and distribute the first batch of relief supplies to 80+ families. Two more villages are planned to be reached tomorrow.

As we continue the distribution, we are also gathering feedback from families to understand their most urgent needs for the second phase of support. We are exploring ways to reach communities on the opposite side of Rasuwa, where road access remains extremely difficult.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, the support received through our JustGiving appeal is already helping us provide essential and urgently needed supplies to families affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.

Tomorrow, 3 September, relief supplies for approximately 350–500 people will be dispatched to Uttargaya Gaupalika, Bogatitar, Rasuwa — one of the areas hardest hit by the floods, where around 1,100 households have been displaced.

Juniper Trust is working closely with Rotary Pashupati Kathmandu and local volunteers to ensure that help reaches communities where it is needed most.

Every donation, every share and every message of support is helping to make this response possible. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and solidarity with the people of Nepal at this incredibly difficult time.

The recent flash floods in the Bhotekoshi River has heavily impacted the communities and settlements across Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts of Nepal.

Juniper Trust is on the ground responding through this appeal, working with trusted local contacts in Kathmandu to get tents, medicines, water purification kits, solar chargers and cooking equipment to the communities that need them most.

In the heart of the Karakoram, a simple pencil can be part of a child’s bigger journey.

In the remote mountain communities of Askole and Thungal, Pakistan, around 235 children have received new stationery to support their learning.

For many children growing up in these isolated communities, access to even the most basic educational resources is not always easy. Through our continued support for local schools, we hope to help give children the tools they need to learn, grow and look towards the future.

We are proud to continue walking alongside these mountain communities and grateful to everyone who helps make this possible. 💚

🌿 25,000 Trees and Plants. One Site. One Community. A Lasting Legacy. 🌿

High on the slopes of Pikey Peak in Nepal's Solukhumbu region, an incredible transformation has taken place.

Over the past three years, working alongside local farmer Dabal Bahadur Basnet and the surrounding community, we have established a diverse agroforestry landscape of more than 25,000 trees and plants on this single site.

The plantation includes fruit trees, bamboo, tea and native species, helping to restore biodiversity, improve soil health, protect watersheds and create sustainable long-term income for local families.

This project also marks an important milestone in Nepal Evergreen's carbon journey. Current projections indicate the site has the potential to store almost 5,000 tonnes of CO₂ over its lifetime, while restoring degraded hillsides and building resilience against climate change.

But numbers only tell part of the story.

The real success lies with the local people who will continue to care for these trees for years to come. We have always believed that planting a tree is only the beginning. Working with committed local partners is what gives these projects their lasting impact.

These 25,000 trees and plants are just one part of a much bigger story. Since Nepal Evergreen began in 2021, we have now planted more than 80,000 trees and plants across Nepal, and we are well on our way to reaching 100,000 in early 2027.
