What a fantastic day we had yesterday at Torbay Pride! 🌈☀️

We were proud to be there raising awareness of our charity, alongside One Space Torbay, a systems change movement led by and for 16–25-year-olds.

Our Youth Engagement Van attracted lots of interest throughout the day, providing a welcoming space for conversations and helping us connect with members of the community. It was wonderful to meet so many people, share information about our work, and hear about the issues and opportunities that matter most to young people.

One Space were also on hand to showcase their Youth Café drop-in, which is already up and running, providing a central hub where young people can access support, advice, activities, and opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment.

The weather was glorious, but what really made the day special was the incredible atmosphere - full of colour, joy, inclusivity, and community spirit. Events like Torbay Pride remind us how important it is to create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, and a special thank you to the organisers of Torbay Pride for delivering such a fantastic event. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of the celebrations and look forward to supporting future events.

🍸 One more sleep until our Charity Quiz Night! 🍸

A huge thank you to The Gin Nest, Devon for their kind donation to our raffle prize collection. We're incredibly grateful for the support from so many fantastic local businesses.

With just one night to go, we hope you're all getting your revision in and brushing up on those all-important trivia facts! 🧠📚

Yes, we know there may be something big on ⚽🌎🏆..... but what better way to spend the evening than enjoying some friendly competition, winning fantastic prizes, supporting a great cause, and having a laugh with friends?

We will be at Cantina tomorrow evening and can't wait to welcome everyone. Don't forget to arrive early, grab your table, and pick up your raffle tickets for a chance to win some brilliant prizes.

🎉 Another fantastic raffle prize has been added to our Charity Quiz Night this Friday! 🎉

A huge thank you to Esca Brixham for generously donating a delicious Breakfast for 2. ☕🥐

This is just one of the great prizes up for grabs on the night, with all proceeds helping to support a wonderful cause and our services here at YMCA South Devon

If you're joining us at Cantina Goodrington on Friday, make sure you arrive early to grab your table, settle in, and perhaps pick up a few raffle tickets before the quiz gets underway!

YMCA South Devon at the Indigo!

Earlier in the week, John popped by to catch-up with Lyn at the Hotel Indigo Torquay.

Despite the misty weather, the hotel looked fantastic. The views across the bay are beautiful, the décor is calm and stylish, and it's the sort of place where you could happily spend hours watching the world go by.

If you haven't visited yet, it's well worth a look.

A big thank you as well to Lyn and the team for donating a Prosecco Experience at "The Cast", their rooftop bar, for our charity quiz raffle/prize draw next week. Your support is hugely appreciated.

And speaking of the quiz... we're now just one week away! If you're planning to join us at Cantina Goodrington, make sure you've got your team sorted. It's shaping up to be a brilliant evening with some fantastic prizes, all while raising money for a great cause.

✈️ The airshow may be over (and what a weekend it was), but our Summer YMCA South Devon Charity Quiz Night is preparing for take-off!

Come and join us at Cantina Goodrington, on Friday 12th June, for a fun-filled evening, plenty of laughs, and a chance to put your knowledge to the test. 🧠🎉

🚐 Exciting news!

Some of you may have seen we now have a Youth Engagement Van to help support and expand the services we provide across our community. This new space will allow us to get out and about at local events, raise awareness of the support available to young people, and most importantly, give young people a voice - a chance to share what they would like to see in their community. 💙

We recently attended a fantastic community day at the Currys Torquay store, where we had the opportunity to connect with local people and share more about the work we do. What made the day even more special was the incredible kindness and generosity shown by the Torquay store team, who helped us take a huge step forward in kitting out the van.

A huge thank you to Jamie, Steph and everyone involved for your support, encouragement, and community spirit - it truly means so much. We can’t wait to get the van out on the road and continue making a positive difference for young people across Torbay! 🙌
