Student society and not-for-profit dedicated to creating the next generation of informed climate thinkers 🌏

An Oxford based society dedicated to developing informed climate leaders, thinkers, movers and shakers. Our membership extends from students to professionals and the general public, welcoming all levels of interest and experience. We aim to connect individuals, enabling a more meaningful impact through collaboration. OCS Members receive opportunities to:

1 - Learn: OCS organises and publicises learning opportunities, from talks, seminars, debates and conferences, through to articles and movies. We run events every Monday evening of Oxford term time from 7.15 -8.30pm. Our new Analysis and Outreach team will produce high quality analysis of new developments in climate policy and science, jargon-free, as well as Oxford-based opportunities and video and blog based introductions to climate policy, science and beyond.

2- Connect: Meet other like-minded individuals through our events.

3- Act: i) Participate in one of our campaigns calling for political action on climate change. ii) Become a leading force at OCS and help us organise or publicise future events. Contact us at: [email protected], or on our Facebook or Twitter.

PLANET ART: submissions now open!

🗓️ Week 7 Monday (23rd November)
📍 Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre, Worcester College, Oxford

We are inviting Oxford students to submit artwork exploring climate change, environmentalism, nature, sustainability, and our relationship with the natural world.

The event will feature two elements: exhibition of individual artworks, showcasing submissions and a collaborative, interactive installation, inviting visitors to contribute to a shared artwork and explore how individual actions can create wider effect

Our aim is to bring together art, science and environmental thinking, creating a space for creativity, discussion and collaboration across disciplines.

The School of Climate Change is back in-person and online for Hillary 2026! Our 8-week intro to the climate challenge is a unique opportunity to hear from leading experts researching positive change in their fields.

Join us TOMORROW for an upcycling workshop with our friends at and 🪡

We will start with a talk about the importance of sustainable clothing, followed by a workshop teaching you to repair holes and buttons in your garments. Bring anything that needs upcycling and we’ll teach you how to bring it back to life. All materials will be provided!
